Chinese leader Xi Jinping has vowed that reunification with Taiwan “must be realized” on the eve of the island’s national day, just days after the regime ramped up military threats by sending a record number of warplanes near the island.
“Reunification of the nation must be realized, and will definitely be realized,” Xi declared at the Great Hall of the People, the political hub of Beijing, in a speech commemorating the 110th anniversary of what the mainland calls the Xinhai Revolution, which established the first two Chinese republics, the CCP on the mainland and Taiwan, also known as the Republic of China.
Xi, who chiefly used the speech to underscore what he believes is a need for the ruling communist party’s leadership in Taiwan, also called the island’s independence the “biggest obstacle to the reunification of motherland,” a policy goal of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and a “serious hidden danger to national rejuvenation.”
Beijing claims that the self-governed island of Taiwan is a province of China.
“Reunification through peaceful means is the most in line with the overall interest of the Chinese nation, including Taiwan compatriots,” Xi said.
But Beijing has not renounced the use of force to bring Taiwan into the fold.
The regime marked its 72 years of rule over the mainland by buzzing the liberal democracy of Taiwan with its largest show of military might, deploying a total of 150 fighter jets, bombers, among other military aircraft over the course of five days and sounding a warning message far beyond the island.

“Nice dam you have there, Xi.....it’d be a shame if something happened to it.”
Same here
Cutting ALL Chinese products off would hurt, but we have the resources to rebuild our Mfg base...but methinks the Oligarchs would not allow that.
Of coarse they would build things here if there was no trade or really high import tariffs. They would HAVE too. You can't give these globalist swine any wiggle room.
Maybe the Taiwanese, have already communicated this little factoid to the pinko commie geeks in China.
Yep
The question is when, where, and how big. Taiwan has small islands closer to Chinese mainland than itself. A couple of them are right next to the mainland. "Patriotic" PLA could take some of them, and make a big political hay.
Interesting points, thank you.
An invasion would have to happen in October or April because of sea conditions. Should be an interesting month.
They pretend to catch fish and then some of them claim that they have engine problem, using it as an excuse to land on one of small Taiwanese islands. They are followed by other trawlers, ostensibly to help them. If Taiwanese military tries to stop them, Chinese will pick a fight. The ensuing violence would be broadcast live on Chinese media, inciting population into a frenzy.
Then "Patriotic" Chinese navy and air force will be mobilized to "rescue" them. Their media will be filled with non-stop broadcast of people wishing for the safe return of poor "fishermen" and outpouring of support for "brave" Chinese military.
It would be interesting if this will end up as a Chinese rout. Xi will risk his ouster if he does nothing. Probably, his only option is escalation.
A little war would divert attention from the economic news and even kungflu.
We did prove over and over that allies are not as important as LGBTQAllies...goodbye Hong Kong, Ughiurs, Chinese Christians, African Christians....Afgani allies.
Taiwan invasion is internal consumption propaganda - externally, it is being used to conceal their US$9.6 billion genetic warfare research project, of which the covid was a mere data gathering vehicle. As of now, the Wuhan lab, having produced a 1% fatality disease is working on an 80% fatality disease - per report on cable last night.
Just keep swatting at the hornet nest, stupid.
Blah, blah, blah.
It would mean I could buy nails that don’t bend after the second blow of the hammer? We could have the old American made ones again? LOL!
