Newsom still hasn't put his bill signing pen down.
After more than five years of intense scrutiny and effort, California on Friday became the first state to make ethnic studies a required class for high school graduation to help students understand the past and present struggles and contributions of Black, Asian, Latino, Native/Indigenous Americans and other groups that have experienced racism and marginalization in America.
Although critics from across the political spectrum remain, the bill garnered overwhelming support in the Legislature and was signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom, who had vetoed a nearly identical measure last year. At that time, he called for more changes to the draft of a state curriculum guide for ethnic studies — to make it, he said, balanced, fair and "inclusive of all communities."...

Or is this just a self-glorifying, welcome to Mexico Norte class?
Teaching White kids to hate their country and themselves.
Have them Live in South Central for a Month, that should do it
do you get to choose?
How Dems win elections..besides cheating, is by having everyone hate each other based on race..if everyone loved each other, Dems would have nothing to go on, their agenda is crap..so all they have to run on is race, and teaching kids to hate each other based on race is how they grow up to become lil commie Antifa warriors.
Whites only! you must be taught of your evil ways

“struggles of Native Americans, African Americans, Latinos and Asian Americans.”
I’m glad to know white people never have to struggle and face discrimination to achieve their goals. We just stroll out of the womb into a life of ease and luxury.
Mexicans are marginalized?
Since we fought a war against them (twice), that’s to be expected.
Asians? Which brand - the guys we dropped an A bomb on? Or the guys who are planning to do it to us right now?
And as for the Injuns, when will Irish Catholic Newsom come clean and admit his ancestors attacked them ruthlessly so they could take all that nice Marin county land?
But nothing about the Constitution.
“Newsom still hasn’t put his bill signing pen down”
sorry, human error - this sentence wasn’t part of the original article. It was supposed to be under my ‘comment’ but ended up in the wrong box. I will blame it on the band-aid on my finger.
How about Irish, Italians, Polacks etc etc. No group has been left out.
you should (or shouldn’t really) see some of the distortions, lies, and filth they’re teaching right now, before this requirement goes into effect in Californication
in some schools, it seems like a third of the teaching is about racist ideologies and a third is about perverted sex
the rest? not sure, it sure isn’t reading, writing, or arithmetic (or American civics) judging from some of the “graduates”
Hate whitey.
There - I just taught you ethnic studies.
Anyone who sends their kids to public school in California should have their kids taken away from them.
Great. That’s one more subject the kids will know nothing about.
So this will be CRT on steroids and all of the world’s evils are caused by Whites and Whites are to be suppressed and canceled as quickly as possible. You can also assault Whites because they deserve it.
Are they going to include Irish and Italians? I didn’t think so.
White folks are a super-minority world-wide. Schools should be teaching I’m-only-a-minority-in-the-US folks how to get along with the real minority - the one that conquered the world while the rest were content to live for the day, immersed in au naturale anarchy.
They won’t be able to read, write or reason, but they will be experts at racism. Yeah, that’s the way to improve the state.
