Mainstream Republicans seek to ‘rescue’ Idaho – from the GOP

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Mainstream Idaho Republicans concerned about a takeover by the surging far-right wing of the party are asking Democrats, Independents or other affiliated voters to register as Republicans to vote in the party’s May primary. Republicans closed their primary a decade ago, and the already deep-red state has been turning deeper red ever since. It could go further that way next year with the ultra far-right lieutenant governor challenging the more moderate governor. Republican primaries draw fewer but more hard-right voters than general elections. The Republican primary typically decides most elected offices, and particularly statewide elected offices as Democrats usually only get about 40% of the vote.

"Moderate" power is on the decline so naturally they want to game the system.

The people have had it with "dime-store New Deal" type republicans.

Don’t we often times, call these new deal types, democrats?

You are either extremely well educated or a good bit older than I, and I am not young.

The line makes sense coming from Goldwater, but both the historical elements and the concise logical argument make it useless for most people younger than I (and I am not very young either). It is a great line for its time, and still applies.

MOderation in defense of liberty is no virtue.

That said, while Goldwater was better than Johnson in many, many ways (arguably Johnson was smarter and wiser in the ways of the world, and much more pro-American in his way than most democrats now), I trust that God knows what He is doing, and as in the end, by the time I became politically aware, Goldwater didn’t look as good as he did in ‘64, and Reagan looked far better, I recall something I do know of “ancient” history that I would have disagreed with at the time but was concise and whitty—

RUAuH20? RUCrazy?

Well, it was a good thing that Johnson guy beat Goldwater in 1964...Goldwater would’ve gotten us into a land war in Asia, or let riots come to our biggest cities...oh, wait.

The AssPress is out of control. This isn’t even good writing, Look at how many times the propagandist uses variations of the phrase “ultra right” and “far right” and “hard right” in just the first few sentences.

This has become commonplace in AssPress propaganda. It’s worse than CNN’s editorializing and much more insidious as many people don’t automatically recoil at an AP report like they do with a CNN report and virtually every newspaper and local television station carries AP propaganda.

The AssPress is also deemed “independent” and “neutral” by your average low information voter.

We need to start pressing local TV and newspapers stations to stop using AssPress material in favor of some other wire service. Business owners should withhold any local advertising budget until the news managers at thieve papers and stations start applying pressure to the AssPress to stop their propagandizing and to write from a neutral POV.

The AssPress propagandist that wrote this screed is Keith Ridler.

One recurring theme I’m seeing is that the AssPress has hired a lot of former Slate.com and Huffington Post activists to work for them.

https://muckrack.com/keith-ridler

A lot of these hires have coincided with Daisy Veerasingham‘s rise through the ranks of the AssPress.
