US sub hiding in the baffles to track an enemy sub might get caught out by a sudden maneuver change by the enemy sub and bump into it.

Okay, as usual, what isn’t being reported? It must have been quite an impact if a number of crew were injured. Did the Chinese drop a wake up call near the sub for instance? Much more info needed, although we are not entitled to it.

Yes, I would reserve judgement. Granted, the USN has brought on this kind of scrutiny due to their poor state of training and equipment readiness, but I would want more info.
