The Central Intelligence Agency admitted in a top secret cable to counterintelligence stations around the world that dozens of informants have been killed in the last few years, as well as multiple agents, according to The New York Times.
The cable notes that the agency’s counterintelligence mission center has reviewed dozens of cases involving the killing, arrest, or compromise of foreign informants in the last several years. It also included the specific number of agents that have been killed by other intelligence agencies, which the Times notes is unusual for counterintelligence cables.
The message also noted the difficulties that the agency was encountering in trying to recruit agents and informants at this time, and the threats they face from Russia, China, Iran, and Pakistan. It also critiques the agency’s own practices, and notes that several issues have cropped up in the last few years, including over-trusting sources, underestimating rival agencies, and overlooking the potential risks when recruiting informants.

That’s what happens when the commissars are at the top and run the CIA. When Brennan was boss there was a massacre of informants in China. Trump was never able to purge or control the CIA. The CIA scuttled his attempt to depose Maduro in Venezuela. Its worse under the Biden cabal. Eventually the CIA may need to be disbanded.

If the CIA is packed full of liberals (as I suspect) then they would be extremely lax on operational and data security. The liberal mindset, in general just doesn’t believe anything bad will happen when classified information is leaked. There are exceptions, I’m sure - I mean in general.
At least one was killed of the exposures/leaks of Phil Agee and cohort turncoat. Remember the CIA station chief in Greece named Welch?
Agee’s then cohort was writer Mark Hosenball, also kicked out of England as a security risk. Now writes for Newsweek and other leftist publications.
And Brennan. If there ever was an anti-American intelligence head of an American agency, it would be him.

Easy answer: They recruit America-haters out of the Ivory League, instead of from Red America. So when their the people working for them and with them are seen to be advancing the interests of the country, they simply ‘get made’ and therefore quickly liquidated.
