Is it time for Anthony Fauci to step aside?
Washington Post ^ | 10/6/21 | Hugh Hewitt

Francis S. Collins’s announcement that he will step down as the director of the National Institutes of Health at the end of the year raises the question of whether Anthony S. Fauci should follow suit.

[cut]

Fauci, 80, does not run the Food and Drug Administration or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but he has been a senior advisor to both presidents who have battled the covid-19 pandemic and has presented himself as the face of the nation’s public health bureaucracy. Either by choice or under orders, he put himself at the center of every controversy — appearing on television, radio and podcasts of every kind in the past year and a half. No one could possibly survive that gantlet intact.

Fauci is also a reminder that our government’s handling of this crisis has been pathetic. It began with the chaotic and slow response to the appearance of the virus in Wuhan, China. We would eventually learn that our government sent grant money to support research activities in the same Chinese lab that was separately conducting gain-of-function research into bat coronaviruses. Did we support that work directly? No, but such money is fungible to a research institution.

My conversation with Fauci last week revealed that the good doctor is now embattled: He does not understand that he has become a polarizing figure. He rejects most every criticism, believes all the backing and forthing is the consequence of changing data. He struggles, as far as I can tell, to admit error.

The portion of the country that has resisted his prescriptions and admonitions isn’t going to change its mind about him now. It is time for a reset. The first step to conquering such a problem: Admit that it exists.

And give up his 6 daily self esteem driving interviews or his ability to rub elbows with powerful people. Not a chance. He is drunk on attention, only professional help will allow him to kick the habit.

Since he’s 80, this would be a good time for him to retire.

Now he can’t retire. He is too useful to the Biden cabal. Unless he says and does everything they want, the commissars for prosecute him for lying to Congress under oath and for illegally funding gain of function research at Wusan.

Like many others in the federal government. If major corporations can have a 65 age limit, why not congress.

That question will never be answered or solved....

When did Fauci know about the issue/reality below?:

China’s Hubei Province nearly DOUBLED spending on PCR tests months before first confirmed COVID case

China VirusWuhanAbsolutely Nothing To See Here!

Jeffrey Swindoll, Oct 5th, 2021 11:47 am
Hmmmmm…

China’s Hubei province nearly doubled its spending (67.4 million yuan, or $10.5 million) on PCR tests months before the “first confirmed COVID case” according to a report by Australia-based company Internet 2.0.

Fun fact: Wuhan is the capital of the Hubei province. Surprise!
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests have been used to detect COVID-19.

Why would Wuhan’s province need to suddenly DOUBLE its supply of PCR tests months before the apparent first case of COVID-19 was confirmed?

Is it just me, or does this smell just a wee bit fishy?

“We believe the increased spending in May suggests this as the earliest start date for possible infection,” the report said.

“[T]he increase of purchasing was most likely linked to the emergence of COVID-19 in Hubei Province in 2019,” the report said. “We assess with high confidence that the pandemic began much earlier than China informed the [World Health Organization] about COVID-19.”

So... they’re saying Chinese authorities lied to the whole world?

This is my shocked face:

“There has been no sharing of usable data from China regarding how and when COVID-19 started,” said David Robinson, one of the authors of the report. “Zero transparency has fueled a lot of hypothesis, theory, misinformation as well as heartache for the victims.”

Here’s what Newsweek had to add:

Former director of U.S. National Intelligence John Ratcliffe also told the news outlet that the increased purchase of PCR equipment in Wuhan in 2019 is significant.

“I think there’s more than just smoke here, I think there’s fire from a whole bunch of different sources,” he said. “I think that would be another compelling piece of evidence, if you need more. I don’t need more.”

Just let that sink in. China has not shared any data that can actually be used to prove or at least help understand “how and when COVID-19 started.”

Some people argued that the tests could have been for various viral outbreaks in animal populations.

But we all know what’s going on.

China is hiding the truth, and that’s what makes the truth about how and when COVID-19 started so obvious!

65 may be too young, but 80 is too old.

He cannot resign because he would not be able then to contain the damage he has done.

Rather than resign, he should be before a tribunal and then marched off to the gallows.

That was Mike Pence who brought Fauci into the task force. You can blame him but it was the Senate Republicans who wanted to make Fauci the face of the task force. Trump brought on Atlas in the summer and stopped having Fauci show up to the briefings, but by then it was too late.
