Like many high schools across the United States, Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida elects a homecoming court each fall, including a king and queen. And like many high school girls, Evan Bialosuknia dreamed of winning queen. But Evan's win would be historic – as the first transgender queen elected.

When it came time for the king and queen to be announced, Bialosuknia’s mom, grandparents and best friend were in the stands cheering her on. “It was so heartwarming and made me so happy, almost emotional,” she said.
Pulling in the most votes for Homecoming Queen was Bialosuknia, who said she won by the largest margin of votes ever and made history as her school’s first transgender homecoming queen.

Looking at the stats of the school, it doesn’t seem to be an exceptional place to learn. Barely or less than half are proficient in reading and math.
On an individual level the kid is probably a very nice person.
Females need not apply. Females, as a group, have been canceled.

The media have an insane view of what “makes history.” They are obsessed with the “first” of anything, as long as it’s NOT a White/Christian/Male/Normalsexual.

Well of course. Those kids have been indoctrinated to think if you don’t vote for HIM you’re a bigot.
Not unexpected as the highschoolers have been indoctrinated through the public school system for more than a decade. As with most liberal arts colleges, many of these teens will graduate high school dumber and far more confused about life than when they entered.

The opposite of subtle sarcasm. Simple mindedness. The students wouldn’t have elected the person if they didn’t like him or her.
Also I’m thinking that it’s not inconsistent to dislike homosexuality or transgenderism, but actually like an individual you’ve gotten to know that happens to be one of them.
A person’s sexual orientation is not all of what he or she is.
it’s long past time for people to stand up and say they aren’t going to humor the mentally ill any longer. What next, do we have to recognize as being factual those who claim to be Napoleon or Santa Claus?
