E don’thave the production capability.

We also do not have transmision capability to handle all these cars charging in residential neighborhoods overnight. The typical neighborhood transformers were not designed for all that, they were installed with the premise at night they would be able to cool off from heavier daytime usage.

I’m along the Ohio River. We burn WVa coal in our generating plants along the river. We pay less than ten cents per kWh until the feds screw it up.

Just ask Californians how well the grid is prepared for all that extra demand. They are ALREADY experiencing rolling blackouts. As for the rest of the country, sure, we can just fire up the generation plants, which run on FOSSIL FUELS. Isn’t the reason for converting to EVs to wean ourselves off of gas? The stupidity never ceases.

More energy is used manufacturing a vehicle than the vehicle will use going on roads. This is a fact. When energy becomes a constraint there is only one solution.

The U.S. Will look like Cuba. In 2050 America my 2007 Ford F-150 will still be on the road rebuilt several times - bondo - several rebuilt engines but still on the road. Energy for new vehicles not available electric or gas because fossil fuels very short supply and wind and solar will not supply the necessary energy.

If only there was some substance that could be used to fuel these vehicles, something that could be carried around in the vehicle from easily accessed storage facilities, and replaced when it burned up. But apparently there is no such substance or at least if there is, it remains buried deep under the Alberta tundra.

It could, but it would take a massive nuclear power effort.

Aside from the generation issue, is the transmission and distribution capacity and aging structure.

It's simple. When you get home, connect the wires and start the engine on your other car.

Ask any libturd where the electricity comes from that recharges electric car batteries. They’ll tell you it comes from the electric car battery power stations.

Besides the fact that pound for pound, the energy density of gasoline is many times that of a battery, you seem to missing the point. It doesn’t matter how “cheap” battery technology becomes, if we don’t have the energy to charge them, gasoline will remain vastly superior to any battery.

FakeNewsMSM still spruiking for the all electric/all digital/cashless future.

what could go wrong? everything that is already happening.

why give up fossil fuels for the sake of Big Finance/Big Tech and countries in the EU and China who import so much of their energy?

We have the existing infrastructure to support the internal combustion engine. We don’t for electric vehicles, e.g, charging stations, electricity production, large scale battery disposal, maintenance, etc.

Large scale electrical outages could paralyze electric vehicles while gas stations can continue to operate using generators. Hybrid vehicles are the best option.

True. But there's no much else great about gasoline.

It's not only a dense power source, but it is DURABLE and STORABLE as well.

Electricity -- especially some of these silly "green energy" sources -- generally does not store well unless it comes from fossil fuels.

He is math challenged, we need at least 4x power to deal with the large intermittent load and generation that the green fantasies require. Every square foot will need a wind mill or a solar cell.
