Protesters and political activists rowed towards US Sen. Joe Manchin's yacht this week, demanding to know why the senator refuses to support President Joe Biden's $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill.
In a video capturing the exchange, Manchin, aboard his $700,000 house boat named Almost Heaven, assured the kayakers that Democrats were working to pass a reasonable bill.
West Virginians waived signs saying 'don't sink out healthcare, and shouted at the Senator while he was aboard the vessel, which was moored on the Potomac River in Washington DC.

come on man
he’s in the Inner Party
he gets the good stuff the regular party people and proles never get
Manchin is a piece of work.
This is a hit piece intended to bring Manchin into voting for the big Soviet 3.5 trillion dollar package.
Really crappy reporting.
$3.5 trillion budget bill
$1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill
BTW, guarantee those kayakers were paid political activist from Organizing for American or some other Leftist pressure group not West Virginians.
Not to defend a democrat, but doesn’t he live on the boat?
$700k is cheap compared to one of Slow Joe or Bernies multiple houses and vacation homes
Meaning he lives there part time
The article should explain “Almost Heaven” is used to describe West Virginia.
Its a houseboat, not a yacht, a party barge, a river runner, lololol
700k boat is not that nice of a boat.
And he’s an old guy, near retirement.
I’d kind of expect a boat like this, assuming that’s his thing.
I have many issues with Joe Manchin, but not this boat.
Correct.
It’s a floating trailer house.
“ he gets the good stuff the regular party people and proles never get”.

I recall several years ago when Teddy Kennedy and some of his liberal buds came up with the bright idea of creating a sin tax, meaning an additional tax on items such as yachts. Well, someone with a brain finally pointed out to him that the yacht and pleasure boat industry employs lots of highly skilled workers of which many live in Massachusetts as this particular industry is big there. Needless to say the bill never made it to the floor for a vote. Just a factoid; Teddy may have been one of the dumbest senators to have ever been elected, just saying 😂…
He’s a snake.
The bill was called the luxury tax and was passed in 1991 and signed by george shrub, the elder.
It was on goods that cost over $100,000 boats, cars, diamonds, etc and was intended to 'tax the rich'.
It destroyed American jobs because the rich just bought their toys elsewhere, and it helped to get, "Read my lips, no new taxes" grandpa bush, booted from office.
He’ll soon find a horse’s head in his bed.
That does it!!!
I am convinced that Manchin is a PHONY, DECEITFUL, ROTTEN, LEFTIE DIMOCRAP JUST LIKE THE REST OF THEM.
Manchin: “OH, I DO WANT a Communist/Socialist country, but let me pretend I don’t for just a little while.”
AND THAT IS WHAT HE DOES EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Where IS that Albert Einstein quote???????
Just searched Manchin’s “yacht”. It’s a 65’ 2001 houseboat. Manchin bought it in 2014 from a bank representing National Liquidators, he paid 220,000.00, which is probably close to it’s market value for a thirteen year old boat, but is insured for 700,000.00 and does live on it while in DC.
$220,000.00 is almost ghetto living in DC. So instead of purchasing a 600 sf townhouse for 500,000.00 Joe chose a smart, unique housing problem.
Of Manchin really wanted to stick it to the rich, he’d support a confiscatory wealth tax.
But he doesn’t, does he...
$700,000 is cheap for a house in DC that doesn’t have bullet holes in the siding and bars on the windows.
