Senator Ron Johnson Debunks Biden’s Claim That It's a ‘Pandemic of the Unvaccinated’

For several months now, the Biden administration has tried to get Americans vaccinated. Things were going really well until the disastrous decision to pause the Johnson & Johnson vaccine over a one-in-a-million chance of severe blood clots. Since then, vaccinations declined, and Biden’s target of 70 percent vaccination of U.S. adults by July 4 wasn’t met, and various efforts to boost vaccination rates have failed.

Biden echoed that phrase last month when he announced his intention to impose a vaccine mandate. “This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated, and it’s caused by the fact that despite America having unprecedented and a successful vaccination program, despite the fact that for almost five months, free vaccines have been available in 80,000 different locations, we still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot,” Biden said.

But, is it really?

On Thursday, Senator Ron Johnson (D-Wisc.) highlighted COVID data from outside of the United States. “The type of data we are not getting from our healthcare agencies,” he said, lamenting that “we have to look, unfortunately, to England and Israel,” which are being more transparent. The CDC has been accused of covering up the real numbers of breakthrough infections, which, if true, means that U.S. data isn’t very reliable. So, Senator Johnson first pointed to data from England.

“Now, President Biden – and this has been parroted by media and news media – said that what we are currently experiencing is a ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’. They don’t really give us any data to back that up. They just proclaim, pronounce that 99 percent of people with Covid now are unvaccinated. But they don’t give us the data,” he explained.

“Well, we have data from England, and here’s the data. So, of the 600,000 cases in England, 43% were the unvaxxed, 27% were with the fully vaxxed, another 30% were with partially vaxxed, or just undetermined.”

“Here is another quote from President Biden,” Johnson continued. “President Biden said, ‘if you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized. You’re not going to an ICU unit. You’re not going to die. You’re not going to get Covid, if you have these vaccinations’. Well, maybe that’s true in the U.S., I kind of doubt it. Because in England, of the 600,000 new cases of Delta, of the over 2,500 deaths, 63% of those deaths, 1,613 people, were the fully vaccinated. Twenty-eight percent were with the unvaxxed.”

COVID-19 is airborne.

That means, “in the air, everywhere”.

It is ENDEMIC.

We will ALL get exposed..over and over.
MANY of us will “test positive”, mostly without symptoms.
SOME of us will be “symptomatic”, and a subset will be really sick.
And (unfortunately) a FEW of us will die.

This is NOT the Bubonic plague.
This is NOT the Spanish Influenza.

You can’t mask it away.

You can’t even “deep clean” it away.

I looked at your graph; I’m well past 70, I have COPD, I still smoke (tobacco only), I’m not vaccinated (wont be either), refuse to wear a face diaper, and still talk to people face to face.

Ron Johnson is repeating a flawed conclusion from English Covid data. Older people were vaccinated first in UK. The percentage of vaccinated who were over 50 years old was 40%, the percentage of unvaccinated over 50 years old was 1.4%. Apples to oranges.

Personally, I've started a "living with COVID-19" mentality, for good or bad.

My routine, based on reading many reports:

1. The single most startling report, to me, was the one that showed a high correlation between seniors with "long COVID" and low levels of the antioxidant Glutathione, which the body naturally produces but decreasingly with age. I know that correlation does not imply causation, but I figured that it can't hurt to remove myself from this highly correlated population. After all, it was the oldest seniors who were suffering from the longest COVID-19. I'm not there yet, but why wait?
   • Many FReepers here have told of taking the NAC supplement. NAC is a precursor to Glutathione, meaning that NAC increases the body's natural Glutathione production. Those same FReepers have mentioned that the government is pulling NAC off the shelves and moving to make it by prescription only.
   • Glutathione Reduced is also available as a supplement. I figured that I could take it directly and skip the precursor.
   • I've been reading that NAC and Glutathione both suffer from bioavailability, the ability to survive the digestive process and actually get into the bloodstream.
   • The next step in the journey was to find the precursor with high bioavailability, and that seems to be Sulforaphane (cultivated from broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables).
   • So, each day I alternate between a Sulforaphane tablet and a Glutathione tablet (until I run out of Glutathione, and then will reevaluate getting more).
2. I recently saw a video posted by a FReeper that was a news report from a local Northern California TV station (Redding) about a local ear-nose-throat (ENT) physician who said to use a sinus rinse to protect the major access point of COVID-19 -- your nostrils. The nasal rinse is made up of a simple salt/sodium bicarbonate mix (the basic "Netie Pot" treatment) and the doctor adds a teaspoon of Povidone-Iodine 10% solution to a 1.5 oz (44 ml) nasal spayer. Whenever I plan to go out to do chores, I put two sprays in each nostril as an antiseptic barrier to kill COVID-19 particles that might land there. I use this one from Walgreens and will refill it myself with a NeilMed mixture when it runs out.
3. To boost my immune system, I started taking these supplements each day:
   • Vitamin C
   • Vitamin D3
   • Zinc
   • Magnesium
   • Quercetin
   • Sulforaphane/Glutathione

That's it. I'm going to do my best to keep my own immune system strong, and if I do get COVID-19 I will go to my local monoclonal antibody infusion center for immediate treatment.
