I used to volunteer at a Crisis Pregnancy Center and there were several women who crocheted baby hats, booties and blankets to gift the expectant mothers who were ministered to there. They were adorable and very much appreciated. Just an idea.

About ten years ago I made some baby hats and booties and was able to sell them. On the other hand in the same period I discovered a way that my local government was failing to protect the people from unreasonable taxation and approached elected leaders and others on the issue. Subsequently it became part of a larger review of taxation. I testified and urged others to testify and the end result has caused millions of dollars to be returned to the people every year, so my conscience is clear on making some money selling baby things. ;-) PS: I like your Jefferson quotes list.
