Necessity of COVID-19 vaccination in previously infected individuals (from June)

Results Among the 52238 included employees, 1359 (53%) of 2579 previously infected subjects remained unvaccinated, compared with 20804 (42%) of 49659 not previously infected. The cumulative incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection remained almost zero among previously infected unvaccinated subjects, previously infected subjects who were vaccinated, and previously uninfected subjects who were vaccinated, compared with a steady increase in cumulative incidence among previously uninfected subjects who remained unvaccinated. Not one of the 1359 previously infected subjects who remained unvaccinated had a SARS-CoV-2 infection over the duration of the study. In a Cox proportional hazards regression model, after adjusting for the phase of the epidemic, vaccination was associated with a significantly lower risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection among those not previously infected (HR 0.031, 95% CI 0.015 to 0.061) but not among those previously infected (HR 0.313, 95% CI 0 to Infinity).

Conclusions Individuals who have had SARS-CoV-2 infection are unlikely to benefit from COVID-19 vaccination, and vaccines can be safely prioritized to those who have not been infected before.

They told my buddy to get the vaccine two weeks after he had contracted Covid. He got the J&J.

Fortunately they didn’t tell him to step in front of a moving train.

What a monstrous conclusion. These results have not been validated by a thorough peer review by scientists like the Biden's, Ron Klain, ValJar and the other disease specialists. The authors of this study clearly hate minorities, womyn, children and LGBTQ+ types and want to burn a cross on the lawn of every person of color. In the name of compassion we should execute every last one of the authors - they are mad dogs, every last one!

Just had my annual doc visit & all is well including the blood pressure of a teen though I’m overweight and 76.

Doc insisted that even though I had Covid-19 in January, it was very important to have the vaccine.

While thinking, “BS!!!”, I only told him I would not.

He did acknowledge that that was my choice, and he honored it.

Bad on him for his suggestion. Good on him for that.

Similar to what I have seen personally where I work.

The determining factor is not vaccination status, but previous infection.

However, the purple hairs are still demanding 100% jab because it makes them feel safe with their Doritos and cats.

When I went in for my yearly “check-up” last March my doctor wouldn’t let me take my mask off so he could look into my throat because it was too “dangerous” for him. This was after I told him that I hadn’t had any symptoms of Covid at all. He said he and everyone else at the office had been vaccinated. He was spouting paranoid nonsense that made him sound like a fool. I decided that it was time for a new doctor.

“I decided that it was time for a new doctor.”

LOL! There’s a lot of that going around now. Count me in, as well as Hubby.

Great post--Idiocracy has hit the medical profession.

My wife’s doctor recently admonished her for not being vaxxinated. Her doctor tried very hard to convince her to get it. My wife told her in no uncertain terms that she would NOT!

Subsequently I went to my doctor at the same facility. (My doctor is one of the founding members of this clinic). He never even mentioned the vaxxine! Didn’t ask if I was vaxxinated or that I should get vaxxinated.

I would be a triple candidate based on comorbidities.

Interesting.

I love my doc of many years, but was prepared to leave him for another if he would have been strong on my getting vaxxed.

He said, “That’s your decision and I respect that” when I told him I would not be getting the shot.

Glad I didn’t have to leave him for another.

Faith in what? Man? A poor choice, if so.
