Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin continued to spar one day after the final debate in the campaign for Virginia Governor. One exchange that continued to receive attention Wednesday involved legislation that would require schools to notify parents of sexually-explicit content in their curriculum. The heart of the debate was when Terry McAuliffe looked at the camera and said, "I don’t think parents should be telling schools what to teach their children."

“He’s twisting things again,” McAuliffe countered Wednesday evening. “You know if you watched the debate, they were asking about a bill that Steve Landes had that parents could determine what books were being used, and they could prohibit certain books from being taught. That’s what I vetoed as Governor.”
(So, how is Youngkin twisting anything? If a book is basically teaching sex, and parents object, the CHILD's parents SHOULD have a voice...or am I missing something major here that our liberal Dem governor is trying to 'protect'?)
Rat Party Headquarters needn’t worry...mail in balloting will save the day.
McAuliffe needs some schooling.
That is what I’m afraid of. My husband passed away 3 years ago and I am still getting voter registration applications for him. Received 4 so far :(
He needs another job outside of government...especially MY state’s government!!!
So Terry, you mean PARENTS can’t have any authority to know what the schools are indoctrinating their kids with? BULL SHIT!!
yeah, it’s a brave new world out there......
About 99.9999% of the dems(and many rinos) just say what they think will get them elected. Once they get in they use the government as their personal cash cow.
McAuliffe is a classic government grifter.
The sad takeaway is that he thinks that there are enough voters out there who will agree with his stated position and don’t care who is teaching their kids and what materials are used.
Alas, it is true. Richmond/DC areas and the liberal coastal areas are what...15% of the land mass of this state? Yet they hold about 60% of the population. So, we are doomed to keep this vagabond I’m afraid.
Also-—don’t parents pay for those schools in their property taxes??????????????
Hopefully the Punk torpedoed his chances with that line.
We can only hope, but liberals would rather vote for, and see in office, a dead dog than a conservative.
Mail in ballots? Dominion machines? Youngkin hasn’t got a chance of winning.
Every state needs a forensic vote audit.
McAuliffe looked at the camera and said, "I don’t think parents should be telling schools what to teach their children."
Their brains don’t work as designed.
did you notify them?
I’m not going to bother. It comes from one of those organizations out of Richmond the “help get folks to vote”. Before the last presidential election they sent 80K with incorrect return addresses...so that tells you what? It’s a liberal junk organization helping keep Dem votes illegal.
