remember when cities erupted with applause at 7:00 pm for them?

I had forgotten about that. Might be turning a lot of people into new conservatives with these mandates.

Nursing homes are everywhere. My wife has worked at three of them in the past ten years and we’re in rural Missouri. All three nursing homes are within 10 miles of each other. She might also look into home care. Some people prefer to keep their parents at home instead of in a home and they can get financial aid but they need help sometimes, especially if they have kids.

She is such an angel to people and animals, both.

Well there you go. She could find a job involving animals. Vet, kennel, grooming.

“All currently authorized COVID-19 vaccines in Canada use the spike protein as antigen.

“The spike protein produced by the mRNA (Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech) and Janssen vaccines is stabilized in the prefusion confirmation.

“The AstraZeneca vaccine produces a wild-type spike protein in various conformations, including prefusion.”

https://canvax.ca/sites/default/files/Website%20Images/CANVax%20Webinar%20Series/Slides_NACI%20Recommendations%20Vaccine%20Interchangeability_2021_EN.pdf

We don’t use the AstraZeneca vaccine in the USA (which probably produces various conformation immunity).

“Vaxzevria is a monovalent vaccine composed of a single recombinant, replication-deficient chimpanzee adenovirus (ChAdOx1) vector encoding the S glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2. The SARS-CoV-2 S immunogen in the vaccine is expressed in the trimeric pre-fusion conformation; the coding sequence has not been modified in order to stabilise the expressed S-protein in the pre-fusion conformation. Following administration, the S glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2 is expressed locally stimulating neutralising antibody and cellular immune responses, which may contribute to protection to COVID-19.”

“Produced in genetically modified human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells and by recombinant DNA technology.”

Table 1 on pages 6 and 7 gives a very complete and well-organized listing of side effects.

Pretty sure there is a big difference between ‘the annual flu shot’ & the current ‘vaccines’ which don’t even pass the true definition of a vaccine.

Ask yourself-—WHY would the CDC CHANGE that definition???

For the Moderna vaccine:

“4.8 Undesirable effects
...
Participants 18 years of age and older”

From the clinical trials:
“The most frequently reported adverse reactions were pain at the injection site (92%), fatigue (70%), headache (64.7%), myalgia (61.5%), arthralgia (46.4%), chills (45.4%), nausea/vomiting (23%), axillary swelling/tenderness (19.8%), fever (15.5%), injection site swelling (14.7%) and redness (10%). Adverse reactions were usually mild or moderate in intensity and resolved within a few days after vaccination. A slightly lower frequency of reactogenicity events was associated with greater age.”

Table 1 on page 6 gives a very complete and well-organized listing of side effects from the clinical trials and post authorization experience.

https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/documents/product-information/spikevax-previously-covid-19-vaccine-moderna-epar-product-information_en.pdf

“The reactogenicity and safety profile in 343 subjects receiving Spikevax, that were seropositive for SARS-CoV-2 at baseline, was comparable to that in subjects seronegative for SARS-CoV-2 at baseline.”

She should quit, then walk next door and get a job at a fast food joint. she will make almost as much, have less stress, and will probably be manager in a week.

“For the last ten years the flu shot has been mandatory at every hospital I know. What’s the big deal? Get the shot and go to work, or else change careers. There were always some holdouts on the flu shot, but they changed their minds when their name badge didn’t work in the time clock. This is the life you chose, you weren’t drafted into health care.”

for me:

first Moderna shot - arm muscle tenderness for 24 hours

second Moderna shot - arm muscle tenderness for 80 hours & too weak to leave home for a day & slight nerve sensations & (quite dark urine that may have been due to a vaccine muscle side effect - I can’t say for sure since I didn’t remember what I ate beforehand or how much I drank)

One could not normally expect such a level of side effects from any previous vaccination in modern civilian health care employment.

I recommend Covid vaccination in general, but expecting younger Americans to voluntarily get sick to avoid getting sick is a hard sell.

I believe that I have no adverse effects from Covid vaccination at this time.

“New York state is so vindictive, but likely not alone, that they’ve even moved to block unemployment benefits for the people they’re about to fire.”

A court in New York State will make the ultimate decision on unemployment payouts, not Governor Hochmut.

“she will make almost as much”

My brother lived in upstate New York and it was common for a nurse to make enough money there that she could just work two days a week.

In my hospital, you got a sticker for your badge every year once inoculated for the Flu. Those who declined due to chicken allergies, religion, principle, whatever were required to wear a surgical mask for the entirety of the ‘Flu Season.’ They were rather easy to spot.

When the Covid first began last year, the policy was that masks were forbidden. Certain of those were compelled to wear masks wanted to be free from that obligation but they were denied, so in essence, none of these policies were making sense.

Then it became that masks were required for everyone everywhere. In the ER and Trauma Rooms every person who came in was treated as Covid Positive until they were tested 3 times and proved Negative. This resulted quickly in shortages of masks, gowns, face shields, gloves, antiseptic wipes, and for many patience.

It all got stupid pretty fast. I wanted to quit 18 months ago, but Health Care jobs in my area pay pretty well. They say that the Nurses in my hospital are the highest paid in the country. Well, some say it but I have no way to know.

Anyhow, for me, no job or amount of money is worth taking that poison into my bloodstream. I left that place months ago.

I got a new part time job, sitting on my ass making $10.00 per hour maybe. It is refreshing.

Where I am at nursing home CNAs make around $15/hr. nurses start around $20-22 depending on experience. I drove past a Little Caesars that was hiring at $13 to start. My sons girlfriend hired in at McDonald’s for $14/hr in a small rural town. Local privately owned restaurant in my town is hiring dishwashers @ $15/hr
My point is that there are options.

Nine years ago, ICU Nurses (night shift) were earning $75.00 an hour at my place. I was told that, but I cannot verify it.

I agree with you on the hero worship thing. All those cheesy yard signs during COVID lockdown saying "Thank you essential workers" and such, while those in the home were apparently binging on Netflix videos and asking teenagers to risk their lives delivering them pizza (sarcasm), always made me cringe. It was just empty virtue signaling.

I was one of those working all through the shutdown. I was no hero. I just wanted a paycheck.

I'm unvaccinated and even to this date, I have never even taken a COVID test nor to I bother with a silly mask unless I go to a place where they are positively nazi-like about it - like a commuter train or a hospital. So I carry a dirty one in my pocket for just such an occasion.

I supposed my company will eventually get around to having to decide whether to make vaccinations mandatory or not. They may not have a choice due to these out of control jackboot government mandates.

Then I will have to make a choice. I'm about five years away from when I plan to retire anyhow. Do I want to give up over a million dollars in future salary over this silly shot? A few months ago I might have. But most of the people around me have had the shots and I have not observed them dropping dead yet. So I guess the more time that goes by, the more likely I'll get it if I absolutely have to. But I'm not happy about it. I'd just as soon not get it. I'm not anti-vax per se, but this one seems so unnecessary.

And what about this?

The welcome mat is laid out for illegal aliens, who aren’t tested or vaccinated

That was the case when I worked in a hospital as well. And I never stepped foot on a patient floor.

I had to get boosters, flu shots, hep c shots, and a couple others because I didn’t have access to my vax records. Plus a drug test.

I don’t work there any longer but my wife does. They were at 85% BEFORE the mandate came down. The deadline just passed and they are at 90%.

Because:
1. These were not considered a vaccine until it became politically useful to change the definition of vaccine.
2. They are still experimental and have not been through anywhere near the testing of other vaccines.
3. Experimental approval was granted by cancelling and censoring doctors curing patients with currently available treatments.
4. Failing to test the recommended protocols, and then saying the drugs used (that they didn’t test using recommended protocols) didn’t work.
5. Politicians, bureaucrats, and political desk doctors have threatened doctors with loss of license for (are you ready?) curing patients.
6. We are expected to believe the shots are the first drug in modern history that works the same way on every human regardless of age, medical condition, sex, or race
7. They cause the BODY to create the spike protein the body then fights against, which in any other circumstance is called an immune disorder. Medicine has yet to discover how to stop any auto-immune response, yet claims to have done so with these shots (spike proteins have been found all over the body).
8. Nothing that the “experts” said would happen if we followed their advice happened. Everything that those of us against the shut down and mandates predicted has come to pass. Yet everyone expects us all to trust those who have been consistently wrong and vilify those who have been consistently correct.
9. The government is threatening millions with loss of their jobs for not participating in what is still a medical experiment (the one “approved” shot is not yet available and is not one of the three most commonly being used).
10. Every vaccinated nation is reporting a greater percentage of deaths and hospitalizations from those who’ve been had the shots than those who have not (predicted by those against mandates), and we’re supposed to believe the same people who have removed long-standing research about masks, changed definitions and testing requirements, ignored doctors actually treating patients, and gaining a level of power never before seen in the US but seen all too often in communists states.

Forced conformity is such a b!+c#, But this is what happens when the “command-and-control” mindset keeps changing the goalposts.

I've become convinced that is the goal--not because the FedGov wants to control us, but because they are preparing us for total surrender to the Chinese.

China is making war noises now, and they are nuclear. Australia was opposing them, and we were opposing them. Both countries now have totalitarian govts locking us down and making us conform, so that it will be easier for the Chinese when they threaten war with us and we surrender.

If we are pliable, then our guns won't matter since very few will use them. Australia already got rid of theirs, so they're ready. We're getting closer to being ready.
