Panama government warns thousands more migrants coming for border

Panama’s foreign minister warned Wednesday that up to 60,000 migrants, many of them of Haitian origin, are making their way through the Central American country toward the US-Mexico border — threatening the Biden administration with a fresh illegal immigration crisis.

Erika Mouynes claimed in an interview with Axios that her government had notified the White House of the most recent migration surge, which culminated in more than 15,000 people gathering under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas ...

...Axios, quoting estimates from the Panamanian government, reported that nearly 27,000 migrants are expected to pass through the hazardous jungles of the Darien Gap region in this month alone — more than made the trip in all of 2019.

“Let’s recognize that they all are heading toward the US,” Mouynes said....

Biden knew about the 15,000 and more, and did nothing to prepare the border?

I’d call BS on this one. The Darien Gap is a area of 40 to 50 miles of intense jungle. Between snakes, jaguars, and undrinkable water...it’d be near impossible for a normal group of a dozen (non-survivalists’) to cross.

Now, if you said folks were riding on a boat from Turbo, Columbia up to Colon...this might sound like a reasonable and believable story. I could see some enterprising Panamanian running a rusty freighter service and bringing 300 people up each day.

Isn’t it amazing that citizens are losing their jobs if they do not get “the jab” BUT illegals, who come in with myriads of diseases, are not mandated to get “the jab”. I think they are our “replacements”. Here is a video of Bill Kristol, years ago, making the point that every so after people in the US become complacent and we need to bring in new people. Biden is doing that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lhg9dnpSL4I

but if they’re bringing thru 500 at a time per day (article yesterday), wouldn’t that kind of chase the wildlife off? In the yesterday story there was mention of boats and that being the reason for the 500 number.

People generally just don’t cross the Gap, period. There might be the adventurous type with the skill sets. No roads or trails have ever been set up there.

I could imagine some freighter operation bringing Haitians into Turbo, Columbia. Then paying some guy to take you up the coast of Panama on another freighter, and dump you along the shore of Colon. Using buses (at least through Costa Rica and Panama), you could make that part of the trip in two days.

Not to worry. The Department of Homeland Insecurity is monitoring the situation.

Abbot, call up the Citizens militia and put us on the border with ROEs to engage the enemy at the river.

Time to break some eggs

Have you ever seen how big a trail thousands of pounding illegal invaders can make in just one pass. Now multiple that by hundreds if not thousands of trips.

We had a major trail in Falfurrias we called the Ho Chi Mein. The sand was polished and glowed in the moonlight. In places it was 8 feet wide. Where it crossed black top, the paving was polished and slick

No I believe these hordes of invaders have the path well beaten

Have a doctor friend who is president of a Southern Indiana hospital. He is being forced to take in Afghan patients from Camp Atterbury. He says they are carrying polio, drug resistant TB, measles and diphtheria to name a few of the more common ailments they’ve seen. He said the men are surly and aggressive and won’t let female nurses or doctors treat them. They are supposed to come with armed guards and translators, by most don’t, so he has to call security or the local police. None have been tested for Covid or been vaccinated. They are at his hospital, 50 miles from the camp, because they have overwhelmed the camp’s medical capacity and two other hospitals closer to the camp.

Also been told by a friend whose son is stationed at the camp that it has been turned into a third world village. Naked kids running around, women covered head to toe in burkas, people relieving themselves whenever and where ever the spirit moves them. He says there is no sense of gratitude. He honestly believes most of them would rather go home. Doesn’t have much hope for assimilation.

But you all get vaccinated if you want to keep your job and don’t forget to mask up, and look forward to an Afghani family moving to your small conservative town soon.

Due to the high profit motive, Darien Gap is more developed every year by smugglers and is not as dangerous as it used to be.

Average people routinely hike through during dry season in less than 1 week. Even women and childre.

It’s not a big deal to carry enough dry food and water filters for 1 week
