There is good news coming in on the COVID-19 front. A new CDC forecast model put together at UMass Amherst predicts that COVID hospitalizations will drop by nearly half in the next two weeks. COVID death and case numbers are also likely to drop and a Stanford doctor says that the latest U.S. surge has likely hit its peak.
"It's clear that the United States has probably peaked in its latest surge connected to the Delta variant and some states will see steeper declines than others and some counties within states will do the same," says Stanford's Dr. Jorge Salinas.
"I'm an optimistic person but I take the data with a grain of salt," says UCSF's Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, who continued by referring to the current numbers. "So the reality isn't there right now, but it's something to look forward to."
"I think that numbers may go down for some time and I think it's quite likely that they will go up again," says Dr. Salinas.

Don’t worry. Mu is coming.
Can’t stop the fear, right?
I don’t trust a Stanford Dr. A Yale, Harvard or Princeton Dr. Nor any scientists. They’re all in cahoots. Maybe Dr. Bombay. Or Dr. Demento. That’s it.
Bring on the lambda thigh omega. 😂🙌
We peaked in Fla a while back. Still not gettin a shot still not wear in a mask still living my life normal as always. How people can live in those liberal draconian states is beyond my understanding
Lol!
And soylent green IS STILL PEOPLE!
Meanwhile Norway has lifted all restrictions and has classified the virus threat as a typical flu.
Vackseen protection lasts 6-8 months and most people got their shots in April. I predict another surge around the holiday season.
The case numbers are made up. Not the virus. The numbers. Unless you’re someone who knows someone who has covid, or you had covid, then you think the numbers are real.
So, wondering what the latest and greatest blue ribbon test they hang the title “case” on now after all the bogus non working tests? All the tests from 2020 they stopped using it seems as the false results were no better than standard coin flip percentages.
