And a huge Chinese population and history of triads and green dragon Chinese gangs and opium and heroin importation since the mid 1800s

Can’t speak to opium, heroin or fentanyl, but morphine is very seductive.

Once the danger of opium addiction was realized, the Chinese imperial government tried to stop the flow.

Opium first flowed to China from the mideast, Afghanistan and Turkey from the start of the Qing Dynasty (1644) to the point that by 1729, the Yongzheng Emporer had already banned it. But usage and distribution spread throughout society, often among the upper levels of society, with connivance by local governments.

The British didn't join the trade until the early 1770s and even then, the Chinese didn't go to war over it until 60 years later.

For reasons of short-term stability, political maneuvering, local corruption and elite disdain for the lower classes, their bloated and bureaucratic central government also allowed the flow across their borders and did nothing while the problem grew, and society declined and decayed for a century until they were forced to go to war over it, which then only made obvious their humiliation.

The CDC miscoded illicit fentanyl deaths as prescription fentanyl deaths and vastly overestimated the prescription opioid ODs. This was manipulation of death stats much like Covid.
As a result, most of the pain clinics in CA were shut down. But shutting down the pain clinics and putting doctors in prison has only led to a massive increase in demand for illicit opioid and more OD deaths.

Most of the public was stupid, still is and bought the government narrative that prescription opioids caused the ODs.

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40122-021-00254-z

“ The error was traced to miscoding of illicitly manufactured fentanyl as prescribed fentanyl, using defined T-codes of the International Classification of Diseases.”

“Multiple studies show that death certificate errors are common, especially in drug overdose cases in which preliminary death certificates are often issued before postmortem toxicology results are known [5,6,7,8,9,10]. Dr. Robert Anderson, chief of the mortality statistics branch of the NCHS, acknowledges that between 20 and 30% of death certificates received by the NCHS are incorrect [11].”

“It’s made in China, smuggled in from Mexico, sold on the San Francisco streets by Honduran illegal aliens. Welcome to Biden’s America.”

It is the true face of “diversity”.

That’s the unofficial policy in most of America. Ignore or arrest the homeless/addicted to encourage them to go “elsewhere”. Anywhere but here.

Unfortunately it doesn’t actually solve the problem and only encourages these people to move around more and spread disease/crime. Like trapping rats in your own home and then releasing near your neighbors.

San Francisco is also not a solution. It’s like the crazy rat lady in the neighborhood that takes them in and feeds them. Until you have a reproducing population of rats.

We can’t exterminate people like rats though and there really is no easy civilized solution to this issue that wont infringe on innocent people’s rights

For years as folks fussed about our "wars for oil" in Afghanistan and Iraq I've thought that, if they were over commodities, that opium was as important as oil. Especially as we started making more oil ourselves through fracking (thus, less need for war for oil).

The difference between Americans' addition to opioids from the rest of the world's addiction to the same is that in America we make Big Pharma rich from our addiction.

Fentanyl is an Excellent pain relief. Patches. For people that are terminally ill and in great pain. As well as mixed into numbing agents. For women epidurals, when they give birth. It has a lot of good medical use. But one thing it does not have, like heroin does, is as strong euphoria properties.

For people that are terminally ill and in great pain.

It's basically Euthanasia.

Again, it’s about power, not revenge.

The ChiComs would try to sell their own people fentanyl if they thought they could gain a political advantage by it.

Yes, with little to no food, and refusing offers of free food from the colonists.

To provide some context, prison hulks were used in Britain until 1857, we weren't being singled out.

Il never understand why sinaloa and new gen cannot measure fentanyl cut properly
That is what it is,,,a cut..cheaper than heroin

It lacks euphoria although has some

They are reducing their market share

They buy not just from legal Chinese manufacturers but also from India who produces almost as much as China does

Europe and the USA also make it

It’s basically industrial pain relief

It’s even better than murdering someone you hate with an untraceable drop gun in Chicago. At worst it will go down as an accidental poisoning.

Fentanyl and even more so, its analogs, are terrorist weapons of mass destruction. They need to be treated as such.

Carfentanil, which is 1000 times stronger than Fentanyl, just had two smugglers busted with 21 kilos worth, enough to kill an estimated 40 million people.

It costs about $5000 to buy a liter of it. Even Plutonium is less dangerous.

Hmmm? I thought the whole point of cutting heroin with fentanyl was for enhanced euphoric effect?

Source please?

Yes, but revenge isn’t off the table (although they might think of it more as retribution, or some other fancy word to cover the same wrong targeted response)

It’s been very helpful for me

My mom and grandma and father in law died of bad uncle Charlie

All were not given fentanyl except maybe patch form

The go to pain relief at end of life is morphine

Pump or inhaler etc....it is the best all around because it also relaxes the dying if they are anxious

Heroin is better which is why some western nations like England use it medically

Opiates and derivatives have their use in my opinion of personal experience and empirical observation

They usually calibrate morphine pumps at end of life to prevent suicide

They have a governor on them

Yeah.

I figured out how to double dose on mine.

That's supposed to be impossible. Challenge accepted...
