Reason ^ | | 9.27.2021 | BRIAN DOHERTY

Califoria Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law last week A.B. 173, which among other things gives various academics, most of them very likely to be hostile to private gun ownership, access to all the information California collects about the state's buyers of guns, gun parts, and ammunition.

Only a fool would remain in Californistan.

I don’t even violate their airspace.

Same as the NAZI’s and Stalin.
Make you register, then have a database, then they come for them.
Combine that with the new voter fraud laws in California, and the end of Liberty is close.

RE: a fool would remain in Californistan.

Especially under Supreme Marxist Leaders For Life Gavin Newsom now that he escaped his recall. He must feel he can do no wrong and no one can stop him now.

Don’t worry. According to the abstract on the California Assembly website, AB173 would “prohibit reports or publications derived from that information from identifying specific individuals.” I’m sure that provision will be rigorously enforced.

I remember when California first came in with gun registration. The left and the media derided, belittled and humiliated all the people who said this was the first step toward gun confiscation.

Who is that Freeper with the tagline that the left and right can never coexist?

Will this include NRA? Or Gun Owners of America? Seems like advocating, educating, and supporting gun owners is equally valid means of preventing violence. I am sure gun advocacy researchers would equally benefit from knowing who owns a firearm.

News reports like this can be confusing, so let me see if I can help.

If police are evil, evil, evil people, and the only people who should be allowed to own guns are cops ... you might be a Democrat.

That’s right guys, at first sign of cheating and resistance from Democrats your reaction must be to abandon an entire state to their political party and run away.

I mean that’s why we have guns, right?

It never ceases to astonish me the way people love to talk in public about the firearms they own. People: the world has changed. It isn’t the world we want, but it’s the one we have. Wise up.

Ongoing lesson in CA firearm’s existing seemingly innocent legislation - now being used to block possession of firearms: I Ordered an expensive collectors Colt SSA 3 months ago from out of State. Transfer facilitated between two FFL dealers, one in my town in CA. The revolver is acceptable for transfer into the state. I have absolutely nothing personally that could even remotely call into question the legality of my ownership of that firearm. Into the third month now the CDOJ refuses to process the paper work - hiding behind “Covid” as their excuse for their malfeasance.

Don’t worry, this will be NATIONAL if they can just get a few more votes in Congress.

That’s why I go after people here who ENABLE Democrats (rather than vote Republican in November elections), you know, to ‘teach the GOP a lesson’.
