The 2022 Republican U.S. Senate primary campaign will get a little more crowded this week, with state Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, expected to declare his candidacy on Tuesday.
Dahm is joining Tulsa-area pastor Jackson Lahmeyer in challenging incumbent James Lankford.
There has been some social media complaining about Dahm dividing the anti-Lankford vote, but in reality it’s not likely to make much difference. Aside from Dahm and Lahmeyer being underfunded long shots with no support from the GOP’s highest-ranking elected officials, either of them winning means taking votes away from Lankford, not each other.
Dahm, who was elected to the state Senate in 2012 and will be term-limited in 2024, can run for U.S. Senate next year without relinquishing his seat in the Legislature. Dahm has twice been an unsuccessful candidate for Congress from the 1st District, once in 2010 and again in 2018, losing both times in the Republican primary.

Dahm right!
Wankford has GOT to go.
Langford has been a Total Disappointment
He Must Go
Why is that?
Wankers would be flaming you for comparing them to a RINO, but their hands are...uh...busy.
He'll have a lot to overcome but hey... This would be a good campaign for people to get involved in and to try to help out.
ALL of the Bush League Republicans ned to be replaced.
Look what continuously re-electing Assistant Democrat Flimsey Grahamnesty has gotten us.
I'd like to see Trump come to Oklahoma and endorse Nathan Dahm.
He is an Amnesty Senator working to give the Democrats a permanent majority.
Here is a reference for you if anyone else asks: (from the Hill): “Tillis-Lankford amnesty proposal is a betrayal of the American people” - https://thehill.com/opinion/immigration/353357-tillis-lankford-amnesty-proposal-is-a-betrayal-of-the-american-people
I will write him and get his views. In all fairness, I want to know how he really feels, not how the liberal rags portray him or the media paints him. I have met him on a few occasions and never had that impression, but I believe in allowing them to defend themselves. I will let you know how he responds.
To be sure, Langford does not need a pass.
Dahm sponsors and joins some worthy causes but they pale in comparison to the chaos of McGirt and Growing Pot in Oklahoma. Compared to the mess of these and other structural problems paying exclusive attention anywhere else is fiddling while Rome burns.
The religious right has a one track mind with two rails, abortion and guns. Both worthy causes but not the only ones. We have other problems and lots of them.
I hope Lankford loses. He seems like a nice guy but he’s as weak as water. Easily intimidated by the left. Oklahoma could do a lot better.
