They didn’t need money to do the brush clearing. They need to get out of the way of the land owners who want to do the brush clearing.
“Climate Change”. Yeah. I wear jackets in the winter and shorts in the summer. Climate change. DUH!!!
Maybe they should let things burn, like nature intended?
THINNING & FIRE ROADS! it’s not rocket surgery
“planning for climate change”
What have you been doing the 30-40 years?
The Left’s own lies are driving them to finally do the right thing.
Finally getting down to doing what Trump told them to do a couple years ago.
The solution to this issue has been known for 45+ years. Nobody capable of making a decision seems to care.
Covid and the 2020 election have demonstrated to many the methods used to perpetuate the Global Warming Hoax. Worldwide average temperatures cannot actually be measured in the tiny increments that we are suppose to be disturbed by. And there is no correlation to “extreme weather events” which are not on the rise. If it were possible to accurately measure average worldwide temperatures which are cyclic, they more than likely peaked several years ago along with solar phenomena which can be measured and seem to be associated with historical climate changes.
“Scientists have long warned that the weather will get wilder as the world warms.”
Hmm. Looked up electricity generation in California. Over the last ten years usage has decreased from 293,000 gwh to 272000 gwh.
I imagine air conditioning is a significant part of the usage. Could air conditioning usage have declined? Because California is cooling?
Right is all climate change not CA’s moronic forestry polices
Wild fires are Mother Nature in action. The clown show environmentalist cult in CA should be out worshiping them not complaining about them
Like every other sane state with large forests does now.
“California spent $3.4 billion on wildfire protection last year, more than quadruple the level 15 years ago and a reflection of the reality that wildfires are getting bigger and more destructive from climate change.”
Bulls$it
It is called logging and CA has darn near killed that industry in the state. During logging the forest is thinned by taking trees for board foot, and the ladder fuels are chipped in order to fuel the co-gen plants that provide energy for the sawmill.
The fire roads are not fire roads per se. They are the roads created by logging in order to get the product out. The roads of course are dual purpose as they are the avenues in which the firefighters use to get to the fire if/when there is one. But the fire roads are created by the loggers not fire personnel.
Lastly you do not gate everything off, as it is we the people, traveling those backroads, which keep said roads from being overgrown and unusable.
It is all quite simple, and all we need from the government is for them to get the hell out of the way.
If you think about it logically, you’ll realize whey they
came up with this puddin head idea in the first place.
Was it to prevent fires? No. Forget that... It’s bogus.
After shuttering the nuclear power plants and the natural
gas plants, they don’t have the power to run California
anymore. They can’t meet the demand.
So they came up with this idea of cutting off power to certain
regions to “prevent fires.”
It was a brilliant idea. People think they have to suffer
through the loss of power to help out.
On the hottest days when the most power is needed, they
just cut off the power to a region and tell folks it’s
to prevent fires.
Then they redirect the power to other regions to keep
them going like normal.
The Left, they always have an angle.
Deadwood Releasing 10.9 Gigatons of Carbon Every Year – More Than All Fossil Fuel Emissions Combined
“Millions of acres of California forest have been blackened by wildfires this summer, leading to the usual angry denunciations from the usual quarters about climate change. But in 1999, the Associated Press reported that forestry experts had long agreed that “clearing undergrowth would save trees,” and that “years of aggressive firefighting have allowed brush to flourish that would have been cleared away by wildfires.” But very little was done. And now fires of unprecedented size are raging across the Western United States.”
