Two Afghan men are being charged with federal crimes for two separate alleged incidents at Fort McCoy.
According to the indictments, Imaad is accused of assaulting his wife by strangling and suffocating her on September 7. He faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.
Noori is accused of multiple instances of sexual assault on the base. The indictment against him alleges he tried to engage in a sexual act by using force against a child between the age of 12 and 16. He is also being charged with three other counts of assaulting a different child by touching their genitals under their clothing — once while in the barracks and twice while in the bathroom.
