If I were a betting girl my money would be on Trump. It’s Wyoming, primaries are base elections, and Trump’s hold on the base is much stronger than Cheney’s or Bush’s. The only thing that could save Cheney is a crowded primary and that is looking less and less likely.

I always caution folks here on FR to remember that Trump won the 2016 GOP nomination mainly due to his strength in states that he lost in the general election -- like the West Coast, New York, New Jersey, most of New England, etc.

Cruz actually won many of the western states that have been GOP strongholds for years -- including Wyoming.
