Democrats May Be on the Verge of Climate Disaster

I’m starting to become concerned about President Joe Biden’s ability to pass a climate bill. They’re speaking sotto voce, but still: In the past few days, Democrats on the party’s left and right flanks have started to hint that, well, in some circumstances, given some contingencies, they might prefer no bill to a negotiated compromise with the rival flank.

The most worrying signs so far have come from Senator Joe Manchin, the West Virginia Democrat who has received more donations from the coal, gas, and oil industries in the current election cycle than any other senator. Manchin was never going to be an easy customer; in 2010, he shot a bullet through President Barack Obama’s cap-and-trade bill. Yet he seemed on board with the Clean Electricity Performance Program, the all-important (if fluidly named) Democratic proposal that would push utilities to generate more of their energy from zero-carbon sources every year. The CEPP would eliminate the greater part of 1 billion tons of climate pollution by itself and is essential to meeting the U.S. goal under the Paris Agreement.

The true problem is that the DNC is filled with mostly two camps now.

The first camp are the kleptocrats (Clintons, Schumers)....politicians who enrich themselves via legislation and regulation in return for campaign donations. They are willing to sacrifice ideology (the era of big gov’t is over) in return for personal wealth.

The second camp are the true communists (Bernie, AOC) who put ideology before their own wealth. Oh, they are happy to become wealthy, but only via routes that further the communist agenda. They will NEVER sacrifice their ideology for wealth.

What we are witnessing is the grassroots communist desire to purge the DNC of the kleptocrats. You can see it on leftwing forums and postings.

The kleptocrats are not ready to give up their power and wealth yet. They want to milk corporations for a few more decades before nationalizing everything.

The whole thing is a true hoax. I’ve said for over 15 years that their goal was control of every aspect of human life.

This is what every place looks like after the hard left is in charge long enough:

There is still an ozone hole. It’s just that there is more money and control in CO2.

BTW, we are changing refrigerants again, this time for AGW. Even though virtually all of it is recovered these days, it somehow gets out and wreaks havoc. And now, in preparation for future demands, the leftist theoreticians are writing about the inherent immorality of A/C. If they get their way it will be a hot time in Georgia.
