During the Antonine Plague and the Plague of Cyprian, many Romans were putting their ill relative outside, on the street, to die of exposure or the plague. Who was it that comforted the dying and tried to nurse and look after these poor souls? It was the CHRISTIANS!
BTW, the word ,’vicar’ comes from the Latin ‘vicarius’, meaning ‘substitute’. Sorry, Mr. Bergoglio. I do not accept a ‘substitute’ for Jesus. That is what’s called blasphemy and idolatry. No thank you.
