I’ve been far more satisfied with McConnell as leader than leadership in past years - Bill Frist and Trent Lott.
Blocking Garland, baiting the Democrats into causing the nuclear option to be triggered on Gorsuch so it was no longer available to use on Kavanaugh and Barrett when it would have been more difficult to sustain politically then was no small task I don’t see Lott or Frist having the political will to go through with or pushing the caucus to having the same will. Not to mention getting the tax reform bill through, repeal of the individual mandate, and record numbers of judges being confirmed in record time. That all happened. We have no such record of accomplishment under the previous leadership at all.
