How hard would it be to set up a remote controlled rifle that doesn’t weigh a ton or need any AI?
Why all the bells and whistles? Why all that weight?
This just doesn’t make sense.

A remote controlled rifle would require transmitter and receiver and high capacity link (Need to send back real time imagery/sight picture/telemetry and also push commands to gun). By using AI you ensure (i) you are shooting the right target (ii) you don’t miss with very low chance of signal intercept.

The gun, plus ammo, plus servo motors and batteries, plus ballast for stability, with radio link, and with shielding and camouflage would easily add up to hundreds of pounds.
