I feel sorry for his kids. My dad was a man’s man, equally proficient at farming, horsemanship, and flying; and taught his five kids those things. And along with our mother, taught us to fear God.
My wife’s dad even more so, due to his WW2 service. A farmboy swinging and shooting his 50 at the luftwaffe. He also raised five kids, built two of his homes, and rebuilt others.

I’m convinced there is a certain segment of the population that is test-me-obsessed. “sniffle...” TEST ME! “sneeze”... TEST ME! “scratchy throat...” TEST ME! They’re either so deathly afraid of the 99.8% survival rate or they crave the sympathy and attention that may accompany a Facebook/Instagram post declaring “Pray for me... I tested positive”. It’s mind-numbing.
I get the flu shot every year so why n it?

I’m sure you’re right. Or it could be that Newsome’s kids have not been wearing face masks and he was getting paranoid.
I had to go the ER at the beginning of the week, and one of the first tests they did was a test for Covid. I wasn’t worried, not just because I had been vaccinated, but because I have almost zero human contact except for with the clerks at the convenience stores I go, to which is never more than a couple minutes per trip. I still don’t wear a mask whenever I can get away with it, even when I was in the hospital. I just had to wear a mask while being wheeled through the corridor.
Welcome to reality.
