You make one of my main points. The Taliban did not have to fight their way to Kabul. They met very little resistance. When they tried to run the NRF out of the Panshir valley a week or so ago they got their Azz handed to them so they cried to Pakistan who sent Paki troops and Cobras in to fight for them. It appears the NFR still hold 60%-70% of the valley and now former Afghan soldiers are flocking to join up with Mousood and Saleh. If they get 30,000-40,000 guys willing to fight its going to be game on.

At least look at the last day or two. After the airstrikes against the Tali on Sept. 6/7 it's all Tali. Reports of genocide (Tali do not like pedophiles) of towns in the Panjshir Valley comprised of very old men does not sound like victory for the other side.
