That’s what long-term clinical trials are for. Participants and carefully screened and fully informed of all possible risks. They have to sign a consent. They are also informed they may or may not be in the control group meaning they may or may not receive the drug. They are monitored very closely. Any deviation can cause the study to be thrown out. Also participants are allowed to opt out at any time. This was not done with Covid jabs
