(CNN)A United States military investigation into a deadly Kabul drone strike in August has found that it killed 10 civilians and the driver and the vehicle targeted was likely not a threat associated with ISIS-K, according to a US military official familiar with the investigation
The Pentagon had maintained that at least one ISIS-K facilitator and three civilians were killed in what Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley had previously called a "righteous strike" on the compound on August 29. The investigation released Friday found that all of those killed in the residential compound were civilians.

I expect that was either an outright lie or was also a “mistake” of some kind (or both), and that no bad guys were actually neutralized.
Nothing more than a pretend retaliatory strike, to prop up Joe Biden and make him look like a tough guy.

Like I said immediately after the strike happened, and after Biden said that those responsible for killing the 13 Marines would be hunted down and made to pay...
The military went hunting for a target, and they found one that looked promising. Now they’re making excuses and won’t admit that it was a knee-jerk reaction strike in order to make Biden’s promise come true.
Biden and those in the chain of command who didn’t do their homework should be resigning, but I won’t be holding my breath, since they will make every excuse and won’t admit their dumb-headed reactions. They had their marching orders soon after Biden made his promise to get those responsible. They acted irresponsibly and stupidly. It was too convenient that they ‘enemy’ was going to be looking to strike so soon after killing 13 Marines, but Biden and commanders in the field were looking to keep Biden’s promise, and were looking to do it quickly in order to appease those at home who were very angry with how things became so chaotic and dangerous in Afghanistan.
The people doing the investigation had plenty of time to make make excuses and to change the scenarios of what led up to the innocent people getting killed.
