Even if delivered by a fool, it was nice to hear someone of some political stature express the truth about former President George W. Bush.
I'm not in the habit of quoting someone I've long loathed, but former President Donald Trump was on to something when he said in a Monday statement that Bush had "a failed and uninspiring presidency" and shouldn't be "lecturing" Americans about the threat posed by domestic terrorism. Trump was responding to a thinly veiled shot made by Bush towards the Trump-idolizing insurrectionists during a speech at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Saturday to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Without explicitly naming Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, Bush compared "violent extremists at home" to the terrorists who had hijacked planes on Sept. 11, 2001, and crashed them in New York City, Arlington, and Shanksville, killing nearly 3,000 people.

Hahahaha...they have found a rabid Leftist POS who won’t refuse to denounce his former political pinata, George W. Bush.
See, this is what happens to Leftists when they aim to be consistent in their views. It must have choked him to say “Trump was right”.
The only thing worse for him to have had to say would be “Bush was right”, and I suspect his head would explode before that came out of his mouth about anything Bush may have mentioned, including Bush’s mention of the color of a clear sky.
Considering our choice of either Al Gore or John Kerry, I will never regret my votes for George W. Bush. Could the nation have done better? Yes, but we decidedly know it could have done worse (as we have daily proof).
Over time, I’m starting to think that Bush was as dumb as the Left made him out to be, just not in the same way they think. The agenda he bought into was not what he ran on in 2000. Maybe not so much “dumb” as “malleable.”
TRANSLATION: “I Hate Orange Man”
“Compassionate conservatism” was the giveaway.
As if wanting people to be free to achieve their greatest potential isn’t compassionate.
‘“Compassionate conservatism” was the giveaway.’
It really was. That was the tell that we were getting more of his father. 8 more years of it. Ugh.
“someone I’ve long loathed”
“I loathe the military”
Remember that quote?
Sadly that is true. ALgore was proving to be mental, while Kerry was — well— just Kerry.
Bush was a puppet... pure and simple. Much like Biden, he had decisions made for him. Whether he agreed with them or not.
Michael Arceneaux is THE poster boy for the typical short bus C- average gpa undergrad journarcissists that the left puts up as “intellectual”.
Backhanded compliment. Makes one look independent.
“Considering our choice of (insert Democrat name) I will never regret my vote for (insert RINO name)”
This is the strategy the GOP has relied on for decades.
No more.
This is what I remember:
George Bush Senior ran against Reagan in the primary. He was liberal. Reagan won, and to consolidate the Republican votes he gave Bush the Vice President slot.
I hoped that Reagan would rub off on him and he would become more conservative. It kind of seemed that way.....
Wrong. The Bushes knew how to play the game to get elected and re-elected by Republicans. That’s all it was and is. I lost trust in GW right after he got elected and passed campaign finance reform, which he said he opposed. That opened my eyes.
Time was what it took to see who they really are. Talking heads we respect were fooled.
Jesse Jackson was right, “Stay out da Bushes”. Just the alternative was worse.
You’re 100% right. But what do we do? We continue to eat the sh*t sandwich the GOP, on the local-state-federal level, serves us every 2-4-6 years.
Oh wait, if you don’t vote for Lindsey Graham the Democrat will win. How about no one show up to vote for Graham in the primary? How about letting the State GOP that it would be a good idea to find someone else?
Oh wait, I have to vote for Graham because I don’t know anything about this other guy/gal.
Unfortunately, that is the world we live in and one that we helped build.
In G.W. Bush’s case, it’s better to remain silent and thought of as being a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
Nailed it.
One guy overcame that. Was putting this country back on track.
They got rid of him.
Just found out this morning that GW nominated Hunter Biden for the board of Amtrak in 2006.
He was never a conservative. Just another uniparty member who played us.
