SpaceX is aiming to launch the Inspiration4 mission on Wednesday evening from NASA’s facility in Florida. The mission is the first private crew launched to orbit by Elon Musk’s company, and the first time a crew were all nonprofessional astronauts.
Inspiration4 includes commander Jared Isaacman, pilot Sian Proctor, medical officer Hayley Arceneaux, and mission specialist Chris Sembroski. The multiday trip was paid for by Isaacman for an undisclosed amount, with the main goal of the spaceflight to raise $200 million for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
SpaceX is reusing a Falcon 9 rocket booster to launch Inspiration4, as it previously launched two missions to orbit and then landed. The company will once again attempt to recover the booster using its droneship in the Atlantic Ocean:
Yeah that’s the thing, no guarantees its gonna lift off. Sorry you missed it.
Prayers up
Then why are you even here? Scroll on
There ya go…😎
The thread? The launch? Living? Dichotomy of good and evil? Online porn that is paid for?...
Jared Isaacman, a 38-year-old billionaire is the mission commander.
Sian Proctor, a community college professor will be Inspiration4’s pilot.
Sure hope the entire thing is automated from start to finish!
This is awesome!
Don’t you mean Patrick SFB? I see they are finally changing the road signs.
How come the democrats are not demanding electric rockets?
You couldn’t pay me enough to do a space trip!
“I see no reason for this.”
That phrase pretty much fits everything happening. lol
Been saying it to myself most of my life.
Well said. :)

Was able to see it from broward county.

Same. I’ll wait until I can get a vacation suite on Luna.

It was either a launch or a reentry, not both.
Why? NOYB, basically.
Short version: guy calls up SpaceX, says “how much for a 3 day orbital flight for 4?”, they tell him a very large number, he writes a check for the amount, off they go.
Because capitalism.
I was stationed at Patrick AFB, so I was there for both.
I watched the night launch while on duty, and I was on duty during reentry weeks later.
