According to the Galveston Daily News, the man wore a Michael Myers suit from the Halloween franchise and walked around with a fake bloody knife. Police stopped by the beach after someone called 9-1-1 and complained about the scary character.
Responding officers stopped the man and put him in handcuffs. According to a Facebook post, the man was island attorney Mark Metzger, who uploaded pictures of himself as Myers on the beach. He said the costume was a prank.
Social media posts went viral as they showed Metzger walking on the beach and of him being handcuffed by the police. Authorities cited him for disorderly conduct and then released him, Galveston Daily News reported.

I think it’s funny.
What kind of country is this where a guy can’t even have the freedom to dress up like Michael Myers on a beach with a bloody knife?
It’s Fascism, I tells ya!
So on Halloween, are all the children who run around dressed like Michael Myers going to get arrested and fined? I’m not sure what to make of this case and don’t think much of his lawyering skills. If he was any good, he would of walked Scott free.
You can get fined for wearing a mask or for not wearing a mask.
Ten bucks says the first question the police asked him was “have you been vaccinated?”
Just a few years back, people were getting arrested for walking the streets in clown make up.
That’s a risky way to have fun. Someone may overreact to the stare or the glance of a Clown.
He’s very lucky he didn’t wind up shot by mistake. If someone challenged him and he stayed in character a second too long...
Very lucky.
LOL...wonder if he wears that same mask to the grocery store and doc’s office.
Great! I wish Florida would do the same to the Grim Reaper covidian lawyer on the beach.
I don’t like halloween, I don’t like masks and clowns creep me out. If that guy were to walk up to me dressed that way with a knife, not knowing if it was real or not, I’d probably shoot him or beat him with a softball bat.......
I agree totally. It is one thing to have kids on a holiday KNOWN for dressing in costumes. It is entirely a different thing for an obvious full size adult to wear that and walk around. My thoughts would be nut job wanting to kill someone and it isn’t going to be me. I guess all our Mom’s were correct when they said, “It’s all fun and games till someone gets hurt”.
I smell a lawsuit against the PD coming.
