He has the Bronze Star with three Oak Leaf Cluster - no Combat V and the Army Commendation with four Oak Leaf Clusters, again NO Combat V.
I’m not sure about the Army, but a Bronze Start or Commendation or Achievement Medal without Combat-V in the Marine Corps are simply “Attaboy” or “You did a good job” awards for junior officers and enlisted, respectively.
