I had a similar circumstance being harassed by a gang at school way back in the seventh grade. This was fifty years ago. I had to “fight” three of them at different times, the last being the gang’s number two member. We got sent to the principal’s office together after wrestling on the pavement in front of the whole school. The gang kid joked and laughed with the principal. I just sat there. No punishment was given at all.
They never bothered me again. But I learned something about the system.
We have a lot of people on Free Republic who think we should stay at home and keep our heads down, lest we end up like the “dumb” people who went to Washington on 1/6/2021 and ended up becoming political prisoners.
It is very disheartening to see that attitude here.
The events of the last four years have led me to conclude the top Republicans are being bribed, most likely by the Chinese. We cannot expect courage from such people. We have to replace them.
ALL of them. NOW.
Fighting (visible displays of outrage, rather) transfers your energy to the enemy and strengthens them.
Ridicule holds them up to the world as the fools they are, and weakens them in the eyes of their own supporters.
When GOP politicians all have the courage to start talking like Trump speaking of Jim Acosta, we'll be getting somewhere..

I guess that is what must happen then. I suggest everyone start prepping. It is going to get worse before it gets better.
That is always sensible advice as far as it goes.
I take extreme issue with those who deem people “dumb” who DO see this protest as something they should do. And I have seen this disrespectful response.
We should thank those people for getting on their feet and going into a place where many of us will not or cannot tread, not condemn them or classify them as “dumb” which I have seen here on this very forum.
I have been to dozens of protests down in Washington DC over about a 10-15 year period (a solid day’s drive for me) and I have seen the tactics of the Left up close and personal.
I have also had the opportunity to view OUR side up close and personal, and I have faith in the ability of conservatives to conduct themselves within the boundaries of the law in a respectful way.
What happened on 1/6/2021 may have indeed been a setup of a lot of people who were not accustomed to seeing the scummy depths to which Leftists are prepared to descend, but that won’t happen again.
Nobody ever stopped a takeover of a society from the comfort of an armchair.
We know who they are, so stop putting money in their coffers.

Any movement that requires some people to turn off Maury and get their butts off the couch will inevitably have such “supporters”.
IOW; quislings.
Things are a mess and that’s all there is to it.....little recourse in how to fight any of this as the constitution isn’t being upheld and the congressional leaders only blab their way through these investigations.....doing is not in their vocabulary.
I’m afraid to say until the citizens act it’s not going to change. And there’s no leaders to get sufficient enough together on the same page willing to do so. Protesting in the street does nothing.

I stopped prepping some time back.
I suspect that the Babylon Bee has some lessons for us that we all can absorb and use. I’m really starting to think God has started to use them as a voice of HIS derision against the excesses of our ruling class! Some of the articles have a sting about them, something caustic but familiar that heals as it corrodes, something sweet in the mouth but bitter in the belly. Something as shocking and revealing as a finger writing a message on a wall!
