Not going there. I have seen evidence that my 4G grandfather owned slaves. Further evidence is that I know of several athletes/ people around the country that share my unusual last name. It was not the moral thing to do, but it was accepted in their day. That fact does not make me indebted to any other human being. I benefited not one bit from it. My Dad’s side of the family was devastated by the Great Depression.

What our ancestors did or didn’t do should not be a reflection on us. What really matters is whether or not the present day Biden is a racist and unfortunately his history continues to reveal that he is.
I have a Great-great-great grandfather who served in the Cherokee War in Tennessee, (I have that in common with Elizabeth Warren) and given that he was from Tennessee may well have owned a slave at one time. The Civil War apparently ruined him financially, so I never received any benefit from his “white privilege”.
Joe Biden has a lot to be ashamed of but an ancestor owning slaves isn’t one of them. There’s likely not a single person on the planet who doesn’t have an ancestor that owned slaves. At the time Biden’s ancestor owned slaves it was still legal in many European countries and their colonies. Anyone condemning Biden’s ancestor for owning slaves had better condemn their own because they doubtless had slave owning ancestors at the same time.
