All of your posts contradict each other.
First post said they heavily censor vaccine comments.
Second post said they turned off their comments section.
Third post said, the most replies they get for any story is Sports, about 12.
If they censor the vaccine comments, then maybe the first screeenshot was before it was censored.
If they turned off their comments section, they wouldn’t have had any comments — either the “were censored” ones, OR
the “12 on a sports story you said”.
...that being said, did you notice the address of the pic I posted, is not the Twitter handle that comes up when you go to the WXYZ web page, then click on the the Twitter link there?
The pic I posted had “WXYZ-TV Channel 7” (checkmark)
The Live Twitter has “WXYZ Detroit” (checkmark)

...unless they have a separate “tip line” type Twitter account that is not open to the public, and which has a different handle (given that the pic I posted was not itself a news release, but claimed to be a reporter *soliciting* comments, for an upcoming story).

2 local Detroit news sites I use are Channel 7 WXYZ and/or Channel 4 WDIV.
I thought it was WXYZ that was censoring comments but I was wrong it’s actually WDIV.
Then when I discovered my error, I realized I had forgotten that WXYZ shut down all comments at their web-site early last year.
Rather than censor comments WXYZ decided to shut them down.
I checked your meme posting again and saw a blue check mark, it appeared to be a Twitter check mark.
So I went back to WXYZs web-site, clicked on the Twitter link and searched for the story and it was not there.
I never ever heard of a news outlet requesting DMs at Facebook.
I think when this pans out, it’s still a fake meme.
