Governor Asa Hutchinson (R-AR) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that President George W. Bush’s comments comparing the January 6 Capitol protesters to the Islamic terrorists were “words of wisdom.”
During his speech at the 9/11 memorial service for Flight 93 in Pennsylvania, Bush said, “There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home. Then there is disdainful pluralism in their disdain for human life. In their determination to defile national symbols they are children of the same foul spirit and it is our continuing duty to confront them.”

He’s talking about BLM and AntiFa because he’s certainly not talking about people demanding electoral accountability and demanding that the constitutional process be respected.
I would say he was speaking of the “white supremacists” because the left is hailing him a hero and changed and he is not saying otherwise.
Another example of the GOP’s masterful use of the circular firing squad...
What say you Bushphile fans? Rummyditz?
The rioter class (BLM, Antifa) and the political donor class both loot America.
Wow, these Assistant Democrats live in a bubble.
I am sure his well connected highly sought team of Beltway political advisors were well compensated for that pearl of wisdom.
For him.
In all honesty, when it comes to people like him, and many others, I wish they’d end up losing most of their money and fade away to the point that they’re irrelevant. No interviews. No tv shows. No one calling for his take on things.
Lose so much money that they have to live with the regular folks. The middle class guys that drive tow trucks, hvac installers, etc. The hard working guys that are living and raising families making $15-20 an hour. The ones he’s been f*cking over since taking office.
One of my daily prayers is that all of them be exposed for who they are. Let nothing stay hidden any longer. Then people will no longer have any excuses when they vote for them, so will collectively be responsible for their own actions and we will collectively be judged for them. The actions we are seeing today are a direct result of the judgments we are receiving.
“Grandpa, ‘What’s a Vichy Republican?”
“Well, Grandson, ‘Google George W. Bush and Asa Hutchinson. They are both walking talking examples of Vichy Republicans. Both comparing their voters & supporters to the Taliban. They are both very good reasons to vet any and all “Republicans” very carefully. Be careful, be very careful. People like things are not as they seem. Never ever trust the R after anyone’s name. Remember Vichy Republicans will never admit to what they are. They will say, “I am a proud Republican.” When you hear that run. MAGA Republicans will proudly fly their true colors. Still, verify over and over again. “
It took a team of Beltway political advisors to craft the ambiguity in that message. Only they think ambiguity wins votes !
“Damn near every problem we have in this country can be directly linked to the county and state level GOP apparatus, who in turn feed the RNC, NRSC, & NRCC.”
Well said. It describes my GOP state chairman to a tee.
A little girl wearing boy’s pants.
“In their determination to defile national symbols”
Clearly he is referring to to BLM and antifa and their destructions of statues and landmarks, etc.
Right? Right?
Bush is a lot more stupid than I once thought.
At one time, Occam’s Razor allowed the presumption of stupidity.
However, at present, one should presume such people are evil.
It’s like Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Another pod person.
I'm so confused. I thought he was talking about the Pinko-nerds and paroled convicts pulling down statues. Seriously.
Yea, when I heard it I thought it was sheer political speak. You can read into that whatever you want to and that’s why he’d never clarify because it’s by design. Politicians don’t speak as clearly as Trump does.
