“J&J is the only shot in IS that isn’t mRNA”

That was part of why, when my wife recently decided to get the vaccine, I looked for the J&J. It took some looking, and the .gov website incorrectly identified a bunch of places that either didn’t have it OR that refused to let you choose which vaccine you got.

I took the Pfizer vaccine in April. At the time it was all that was available here. But the J&J vaccine is a more traditional vaccine and if I had to do it over again, I’d take it instead.

“The jabbed suckers are in a world of hurt”

That doesn’t describe any of the “jabbed suckers” I know. My crowd is mostly over 60 and in Arizona, 90% of those over 65 are “jabbed suckers”. The only person with a reaction has so many medical problems that she’ll almost certainly die if she catches COVID....probably will soon even if she doesn’t catch it. The rest of us are all doing fine.

In my opinion that page is misleading, which is surprising considering it’s the Mayo Clinic. It omits the fact that J&J causes your cells to produce virus proteins just like the mRNA vaccines do. And it omits the fact that J&J introduces DNA into the cell nucleus. There are other sites that explain how the vaccines work without omitting key information.

I had Covid-19 in 2020. Didn’t know until after getting the vaccine in April 2021 that the side effects of the vaccine were far worse if you already had the virus.

Which really doesn’t make sense from an immune system perspective.

The vaccine paralyzed me and I spent a week in bed. Severe pain in right hip. Back was totally locked up. Couldn’t stand, bend over, walk..... for a week.

Just what does J & J have to say about it? If they won’t stand up for themselves why should we?

J&J has said they were making the vaccine on a not for profit basis, unlike Pfizer and Moderna, for whom it is a big profit center.

My primary care Dr did nothing when I told him about it a few days after I was selected to move.

Was not reported.

“Few additional doses of J&J vaccine have made their way to the states since mid-June, despite reassurances from both public health authorities and the manufacturer that the vaccine is considered extremely safe and highly effective at keeping people from dying of COVID-19.”

That scraping sound was the goal posts being moved once again. Now the reason for taking the COVID vaccine is limited to ‘preventing you from dying’.

Was your screenname simply ‘retired’ before your jab?

“Was your screenname simply ‘retired’ before your jab?”

Descriptively, that is a true statement. It drained my soul.

It’s as though the vaccine carries a separate consciousness that sucks out your vitality.

I’m severely hearing disabled, haven’t gotten any shots yet.
Wondering what it would do to what’s left of my hearing.

many thanks for that info; does the J&J have spike proteins in it?

My wife and I got the J and J. I was very happy to be one and done. It was offered through the VA all over Massachusetts to military and their spouses. I got dozens of my friends to go. Very convenient.

If I were to get a shot, I will not get an mRNA shot. J&J is the only shot in IS that isn’t mRNA

JnJ does the exact same thing as the mRNA shots.

Pfizer and Moderna have lipid-protected mRNA that enters your cells and overwrites them to make them produce the spike protein, leading to your body attacking the proteins that it made itself.

JnJ is DNA inside a adenovirus shell, that enters your cell, and uses the DNA to write mRNA that overwrites the cell to make spike proteins, leading to your body attacking the proteins it made itself.

And you really think that's any better?

But the J&J vaccine is a more traditional vaccine and if I had to do it over again, I’d take it instead.

JnJ is ONLY more traditional in that it uses an adenovirus shell to sneak inside you. Other than that, it does the exact same thing as the mRNA shots, it uses DNA to write mRNA to overwrite your cells to produce the spike protein, so your immune system can learn to attack those proteins, that your body made.

It’s quite a intellectual distance between the fetus cells and what material is in the injection.

It's quite an intellectual distance between my great-grandpappy who robbed that train, and the fortune the family has today. But since it was so long ago, that makes it right, right?

Not in the shot itself, no. The JnJ shot does the same thing as the mRNA shots, it just does it with an extra step. It delivers DNA into your cell, which then produces mRNA and from there it's the same as Pfizer or Moderna. Your own body produces the spike protein, inducing your immune system to attack what your own body is producing.
