There’s A Reason DC Democrats Are Always Winning, Even When They Lose
The Federalist ^ | 10 Sep 2021 | Christopher Bedford

Washington Republicans are excited for the 2022 elections, and they have reason to be — they’re going to do well. They’re heavy favorites to take back the House of Representatives; and despite a very bad Senate map, it’s a coin flip they’ll retake that too.

None of this is too shocking: First-term presidents usually face a backlash, and often it’s a bloodbath.

President Barack Obama crushed Sen. John McCain, then lost 63 House seats two years later; President Donald Trump lost 42 seats in 2018; President Bill Clinton lost 54. In fact, the only first-term president to not lose House seats in the midterms in the past 55 years was President George W. Bush, in the post-9/11 2002 midterms.

This is the nature of politics: A new man is swept in and carries fellow party members with him, then two years later enthusiasm has waned, the president’s promises have turned into a more frustrating reality, and opposition voters are angry and fired up. So what happens? They punish the party in power.

All of that figures to be even worse for President Joe Biden. Nobody is passionate about Biden himself, and in 2022 Democrats won’t be turning out to vote against Trump, so even if Biden were doing a bang-up job he’d still be in for what his old boss called “a shellacking.”

The reason why Demoncrats always win is because they are commited to pushing destruction. They are reliant upon Republicans to go on the defense to try and defend the country. That is why the Demoncrats can push to the extreme, they are expecting the Republican to save them and wear the blame.

He sure nailed that one. I’ve been saying the same thing for years. The GOP doesn’t really care if they are in the majority or the minority. They get paid either way. And frankly I think the RNC makes more money in donations when they’re not in power and promising us the moon...which, like clockwork, they fail to deliver.

Assistant Democrats are why Democrats always win.

We need real Republicans that will actually BE an opposition party.

It’s worse than that. Even “conservatives” can’t agree on what they would do if given power. Low-regulation, pro-business Constitutionalism? Nowhere near good enough. To make the Constitution work, first you need a virtuous people. So how do you get a virtuous people by government fiat?

We are the reason, we allow it. Look in the mirror and ask yourself what you did to truly stop them. Most likely the answer is nothing.

Why don’t you look at yourself in the mirror and tell us what we should do, hotshot? Every election, we get told here that any Republican is better than a Democrat.

So give us some real generalship instead of this blame the victim crap.

The Democrat Party is a religious movement. The Republican Party is an incumbent re-election committee.

Are you aware the Democrat Party voted God out?

Many religious movements worship false gods. Like Satan they just made themselves their own god.

I paraphrase Dan Bongino earlier this week: if the Democrats don’t score on four downs, they insist they get five downs. If the ref disagrees they’ll knife him and bury him in the ten yard line. They’ll claim that the rules are racist and they should get as many downs as they want

The entire culture of their party is vicious and lacking any semblance of integrity. They will say anything, do anything. And that means anything, including destroying the court, to obstinate and retain power

They get a Republican president, House, and Senate, and what did they do? They fought the president tooth and nail. Useless.

All the voting process reformation in Texas and elsewhere is for noght so long as voting computers are used for voting. The Democrats and the Chinese share ownership of and access to electronic systems.

The Democrat Party is a religious movement.

The God they believe in is themselves.

The figurehead politicians come and go but the staff, the ones who really write the laws and do the work stay as long as they like. I had an Aunt who came in with the early FDR years and retired at the end of the Carter administration.

Yep. It’s all theater, and most of them are socialist scumbags looking out for their own wallet and prestige. Feckless wimps.
