President Biden on Thursday mandated COVID-19 vaccines for about 100 million US workers, but the more than 600,000 letter-carriers and administrative staff of the US Postal Service reportedly won’t have to get a shot.
A White House official confirmed the exemption to Washington Post postal reporter Jacob Bogage, adding that “we strongly encourage them to comply with these standards” anyhow.
It was not immediately clear why postal workers — who serve every community in the United States, often with daily door-to-door deliveries and contact with millions of Americans — would be exempted from new mandates that apply to most federal workers and companies with 100 or more staff…

The president doesn’t have the same degree of control over USPS as other parts of the federal government because it is an Independent Agency of the executive branch.
Thus he can only recommend, not mandate.

The 100M workers refers to companies with more than 100 employees enforced through OSHA.
The USPS would have fallen under the mandate for federal workers but the USPS union leadership pushed back over the summer and didn’t cave like the other unions.
NY Post should be more careful. Accuracy is critical.
Most must be vaccinated. Only 80 million are unvaccinated in the United States. Each day that number goes down. We’re getting there. Soon this coronavirus will finally be over.

Equal protection under the law only applies when there is a “law” to refer to.
Since there is no “law”, you can pretty much makeup anything you want.
