I think they honestly want to provoke something. Americans are peaceful and reasonable, because we know that we have a political process that respects our rights and because we believe the government cares what we think. Neither of these is true now.
Another poster quoted Ayn Rand today (I don’t particularly like her work, but she did hit on some great things), who said something to the effect that when the government has the right to do anything and the citizens have to get permission for everything, it’s tyranny.
I think we’ve gotten there. We now need permission for our normal activities and the government has the “right,” according to Biden, to do anything.
