Two cars, looks like 5+ shooters, 11 seconds, appears to be both long & handguns, no visible reloading, - ‘150 shots’? The mind reels at the horror of this yet it is the same (probable) rote thinking that fuels Isis/Taliban/Boko Haram/MS-13. When we lose any sense of answering to a ‘higher authority’ and no one down here wants to tag ‘gang violence’, this is the poisoned fruit!

Let’s put it this way: if black lives mattered enough to the black community, this little boy wouldn’t be dead.

Sure there are decent people who hate the criminal element. There are people of all kinds crying for this child, for a few days. But there are enough people backing the criminal element, excusing them, overlooking the transgressions in their own families, that the criminal element thrives.

The gang might have shot at the wrong house, or at a perceived snitch, or ar a good kid who wouldn’t join up, but they probably shot at a rival’s house, which means that in ten years, little Asiah stood a good chance of being a gang member himself.
