CHINA has lashed out after being warned over its lack of transparency over its "nuclear arsenal".
It comes following comments made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Monday saying that "China's nuclear arsenal is rapidly expanding" and "all of this is happening without any limitations or constraints… and with a complete lack of transparency." The NATO chief is said to have imitated comments made by Washington, accusing China of a lack of transparency over their nuclear policy and the number of weapons held in their arsenal.
The scrutiny comes as China has not publicized the number of its nuclear warheads and launchers.
Concerns have been raised on what would happen if China took the initiative to launch nuclear attacks against the US and NATO, but Global Times rebuffed the idea saying such an act would be “tantamount to committing strategic suicide”.
The US and other allies have been given a sense of security against such a threat from the country, who are the only major nuclear power to publicly promise "no first use" of nuclear weapons.

The English-language Chinese newspaper also responded to the lack of transparency commentary by saying that while China hadn’t declared the extent of their nuclear arsenal, the quantity of it “is far lower than the number of nuclear weapons in the US”.
They also say that it is “certain” that “once a military conflict occurs between China and the US, China will not use nuclear weapons first under any circumstance”, before questioning whether the US would instigate the use of nuclear weapons “if the US suffers a big loss in conventional military conflicts”.
They call upon Mr Stoltenberg to “solemnly promise China on behalf of NATO and the US that they will not be the first to use nuclear weapons against China at any time”.

The request comes following his criticism, with the news source saying that if he cannot make such a promise, “then how is he qualified to accuse China of ‘complete lack of transparency’?”
China is said to have shown a sense of “self restraint” according to the news outlet, due to its declaration to maintain a level of minimum nuclear deterrence.
China has taken moves to upgrade its military equipment to withstand military pressure from the US.
The Chinese are building dozens of new Nuclear Missile Silos while Joseph Stolen talks about Climate Change and what his favorite Ice Cream Flavor is.
They won’t nuke Hawaii.
Locals won’t miss Honolulu.
And Honolulu is the bluest of blue
states.
Russia also has way more nukes than they are supposed to.

Every country maintains some opacity over the subject of their nukes, how many, where they are, how they’re targeted, etc. Israel has never even acknowledged having nukes. The lack of certainty tends to cause sane rivals to not start a nuclear war. The moment a dictator thinks he knows the answers to all those questions is the moment he attacks. History has shown that dictatorships start wars. Free economies see more advantage in trade and, thus, don’t tend to start wars. The exception to that has been all the “police” actions by the US, which, to the unsophisticated dolt, like me, look like, smell like and cause casualties like they’re “wars.” Obviously, not the same, though.
China Probably already does, Israel will use theirs on Iran before they can be hit.

Go figger. Earth has a population of approx. 7.9 billion people. That would be over 2 billion dead. What could possibly cause that sort of destruction?
