BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho public health leaders announced Tuesday that they activated “crisis standards of care” allowing health care rationing for the state's northern hospitals because there are more coronavirus patients than the institutions can handle.
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare quietly enacted the move Monday and publicly announced it in a statement Tuesday morning — warning residents that they may not get the care they would normally expect if they need to be hospitalized.

Here, https://www.ahd.com/state_statistics.html, Idaho has about 2500 beds. If true, 500 covids is 1/5 - a lot, but survivable, IF STAFFED.
Hospitals do not “ration” care. They stop electives and re-route ambulances. This author is a state-sponsored propagandist.
A lot of people tried to tell them that they shouldn’t be trying mass vaccinations because it cause the variants most resistant to the vaccine to become the dominant ones.
When you ignore the propaganda, you find out that exactly that is true.
Humanity has been dealing with viruses not unlike this for all of human history yet the managerial state has turned this one into an unmitigated disaster. The self-appointed government experts who do no real research or medicine have steadfastly ignored real doctors and researchers. The missing part of Israel’s situation are these factors:
*The Delta Variant has an R0 of 6.4, which means one infected person on average infects more than six others in the absence of restrictions and vaccinations.
*The Delta variant has some ability to escape the protection offered by vaccines, and the protection seems to wane a bit over time after two doses.
*Infections jumped because of the prevalence of cases among the unvaccinated, especially children. The wildcard is the return of schools. That could change the transmission dynamics and expose all age groups to infection because of kids coming home with COVID-19.
*Premature lifting of restrictions.
*The herd immunity threshold required for Delta is higher, likely over 80% of the whole population, not the 60% achieved in Israel.
*Over 70% of infections with Delta arise from asymptomatic transmission, which makes it harder to control.
*Cases of Delta breakthrough infection in vaccinated people can be as infectious as in unvaccinated people (though viral load declines faster in vaccinated people).
My county in Oregon is probably near that 83% vaccinated. We are having the same surge. (Our county was one that ordered the refrigerated truck for bodies)
20% of the hospitalized with Fauci Flu in Portland hospitals were vaccinated.
Maybe this is the same mentality, that will dominate the tribulation period. We are not there yet, but this COVID thing, might be a step in that direction.
