BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho public health leaders announced Tuesday that they activated “crisis standards of care” allowing health care rationing for the state's northern hospitals because there are more coronavirus patients than the institutions can handle.
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare quietly enacted the move Monday and publicly announced it in a statement Tuesday morning — warning residents that they may not get the care they would normally expect if they need to be hospitalized.

Where the heck are all the supplies from the first round?
Live in Idaho , got a prescription for Ivermectin but Idaho pharmacies won’t fill it. They use the same protocol that is killing people across the nation, and the major hospitals here are firing healthcare workers if they don’t get the jab.
What could go wrong?
Probably everything. 🤗 By the way, I loved skiing at Bogus Basin. 👍
I’ll bet it’s less an available bed than an available staff issue.
That reads like an msnbc news segment.
LOL, my second “Bingo!”
It’s a staffing issue.
“Too many hospital beds taken up by gunshot victims.”
Try again, it’s Northern Idaho - virtually EVERYONE owns a gun, thus virtually no gun violence.
(just kidding, I know you’re being sarcastic)
And they are lumping in suspected cases in some of the data.
Well, yes - nobody here goes to the hospital for a gunshot wound. We just stick a band-aid on it and go back to the slaughter.
Seems plain to me, too. Don't expect a lot of support for your position, though.
We need to consider the source. Kootenai Health’s past press releases and statements show that they are all for forced vax of kids. Their overtly political hospital. The latest release blames the vax status of kids in the state. Spokane is 30 minutes away.
It is true. True in eastern WA also where I am, maybe slightly less extreme.
how do I feel about triage? It happens all the time in big city hospitals (ER for flu 6 hours, gunshot 4 minutes). ‘
Opening monoclonal centers is a triage move. Don’t go to the hospital, go there instead and get around 30 days protection - see you if you get worse.
here’s Little’s presser frm Aug 31:

Little was also talking about this back in dec:

A primary concern is hospitals are having a time trying to keep sudden demand oxygen supplies up. No oxygen no breathers. Then you have medication supply issues. Brazil was having to intubate without a general. Scary story for them, but just how many whatevers are actually in the closet or avail for on demand ordering when 50 hospitals are all screaming for supply? Should Florida or California be able to monopolize monoclonal supplies forever, or do we triage supply to the most needed areas, but have a cutoff, no mas?
who’s the new to FR vP?
As the article suggests, I am staying off my motorcycles for now — not interested in “lower standards of care” following an accident.
🕶👍
“Idaho has a 10% vaccination rate.”
Wrong.
Idaho
Dose 1 administered: 62.5
Dose 2 administered: 44.9
No...I specifically asked....Are YOU okay with non- “vax”d people being denied hospital health care?
But...you tried to change the subject (like a good little leftist), to triage.
Just answer the simple question (on subject that YOU brought up.)
My statement that Idaho has a 10% vaccination rate was wrong. Actually it has 39.7% of the population fully vaccinated (44% of the state has received at least one dose). I checked these figures from two sources.
I should have said Idaho is in the bottom 10 of the states for vaccinations (the third lowest above Wyoming and Alabama (the lowest).
Thanks for bringing my error to my attention.
