A South Florida doctor became the second physician to make the contentious decision to refuse treatment to unvaccinated patients in a COVID-ravaged state.
Lina Marraccini, a primary care doctor in South Miami, chastised patients for a “lack of selflessness” in a letter that claimed the unvaxxed pose too great a risk to her staff.
“This is a public health emergency — the health of the public takes priority over the rights of any given individual in this situation,” said Marraccini wrote in the letter, obtained by NBC 6.
“It appears that there is a lack of selflessness and concern for the burden on the health and well-being of our society from our encounters.”
The doctor said the ban on unvaccinated patients was due to the FDA’s approval of the Pfizer vaccine. On Sept. 15, she will no longer see unvaccinated patients if they haven’t received their first shot. But exceptions can be made.
“If any of our patients have a valid medical reason for not having the vaccine or have their first shot by September 15, please let us know,” she wrote.

This is absurd to the highest degree. Caring for the sick is what professionals do, even if they put themselves in harms way. Our doctors need to learn lessons from others in the past. I.e., Blessed Seelos of New Orleans, 1866.

My sister’s new pulmonologist insisted she get the vaxx the other day at her appointment. Proudly stated he had even had the booster.
She said...”Mmmmmkay.”
This is not a doctor I would want to go to in any case.

So for everybody screaming that if you choose not to get the vaccine you shouldn’t be allowed a bed in the hospital, 1st let’s kick out all of the alcoholics who won’t quit drinking. Let’s kick out all of the drug addicts who won’t get clean. Let’s kick out everybody with diabetes who refuses to eat right and manage their sugars. Let’s kick out all of the morbidly obese people who refuse to quit eating and exercise. Let’s kick out everybody with Hypertension who refuses to diet and exercise. Let’s kick out everyone who on a daily basis makes decisions to partake in some activity that is detrimental to their health. Let’s clear out those beds first, before we ban people who are leary of a brand new, fast tracked sketchy vaccine that doesn’t seem to be helping with what it’s supposed to anyways.
Should you be declined a bed in the hospital because your BMI is too high or because you drank some beers at a barbecue last weekend or use to smoke cigarettes and caused long term damage, or who knows what else? No. You shouldn’t and you won’t be refused care because of your poor life choices, so why should people choosing not to be vaccinated with a brand new, barely tested, very questionable vaccine that is clearly not protecting people like we’re told it is?

She is inserting her personal politics into her practice of medicine. That is absolutely unacceptable and the people of FL need to put endless pressure on the state boards until they pull her license permanently. This doctor is a danger to public safety.
