The U.S. has hit 40 million reported coronavirus cases as the delta variant has devastated many areas, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

There have been more than 648,000 deaths from the virus in the U.S., according to the data.

In the last month alone, there have been 4 million new cases recorded in the U.S., along with more than 32,000 new deaths. The seven-day average case count last week was as high as it's been since January.

No, I disagree, it is not a case until a positive test is confirmed by another sort of test or symptom, which in the great number of positive results are not happening. For example, I had a sonogram of my abodomen that showed a spot or abnormality near my bladder. My doctor then sent me for a cat scan with contrast to confirm the diagnostic finding. Thank God it came back with a negative result and it was chalked up to an artifact. This was 5+ years ago. It was never considered a case of bladder cancer/abnormality/infection or whatever as I had no other supporting tests or symptoms. Another example, my daughter goes to the pediatrician, gets a swab of her throat as it is suspected it is strep. It comes back positive AND there are symptoms in her mouth and throat visible to the doctor it is strep. If there are not any symptoms the doctor may suspect it is strep but cannot confirm it so he has a decision to make but it cannot be tallied as strep.

PCR was never meant to be a test for pathogens as per the creator of the test has stated in the past. If the cycles are too high, which they were, you can get a positive hit on anything you are looking for. It's like running a blank piece of paper thru a copy machine 40+ times - it is going to come up with spots and shadows eventually.

This is false, and based on a quote misattributed to the creator of PCR, Kary B Mullis, who died in 2019. He said you can't use PCR to determine the level of virus in the system. PCR was designed to detected presence, not quantity.

The source if the misquote is this article from 1996 on PCR testing and AIDS. Mullis only has a single quotation in the article.

The estimates for how many people have really had the China Virus and developed natural immunity are much higher than the 40,000,000 number that have been documented.

I've seen estimates based on samples from bloodbanks indicating there are over 200,000,000 people in this country who've had the China Virus and developed immunity to it.

So based on the numbers from US Blood Banks, the actual death rate from the China Virus is on par/lower than that of the common flu bug that hits every fall through early winter.

For this we wear masks that aren't effective and are being cajoled into getting shots? Hmmm.

For the record, I received the J&J shot based on my specialist's recommendation. I will not be getting any 'booster' shots going forward now that it's well established that immune suppressed people such as myself receive zero benefit from it. I'll go for the natural immunity and boost my immune system naturally instead.

I was looking at Worldometer yesterday, and Poland and Hungary seem to have avoided the spikes that have plagued many countries. Their new cases are very low, and there are hardly any deaths. They don’t have an extremely high rate of vaccinations, so I wonder what they are doing right. Or maybe they’ve just been lucky.

Understood about the misquote and did not know this, but how effective or reliable is PCR if the amplification is ramped up to “find” the pathogen? What I mean is if the amplification cycle is 40+ vs 25 what is the percentage of false positives for those two rates?
