Larry Elder says he would replace Dianne Feinstein with a Republican if he wins California recall election

Larry Elder, a gubernatorial candidate in California’s Gavin Newsom recall election, said he would replace U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat, with a Republican – if Elder becomes governor and Feinstein were to step down during his term.

"God forbid Gov. Elder should replace Dianne Feinstein who nobody’s seen in weeks," Elder told Mark Levin on his radio show Friday. "I'm told she has a worse mental condition than even Joe Biden. They're afraid I'm would replace her with a Republican — which I most certainly would do and that would be an earthquake in Washington D.C."

Feinstein, now 88 years old, has served in the Senate since the early 1990s and says she has no plans to step down despite some Democrats hoping she would. A New Yorker piece that came out last year reported House Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and others had been concerned about her memory and ability to focus, especially during the Justice Amy Coney Barrett confirmation hearings. Feinstein balked at the criticism.

I know, I know Larry’s got to beat the crooks and cheat machines in Ca but it’s OK to have something to pray about.

If the Republicans unite, they might have enough votes to overturn a few seats.

Republicans have to get it through thier minds and impress it upon their hearts that Democrats want them dead. It’s nothing less than war.

Might be better to appoint someone registered as an independent in California that is a conservative - given their “jungle primary” system.

I agree. Like Trump, Larry Elder has been in the public eye for decades. They can try to miscast Larry through spin, but I doubt it will change anyone’s current impression of him.

Right now, Larry has one face and Gavin has two. That has to count for something on the day votes are cast.

Dems may still cheat. But people have to get out and try to overcome it with their vote. I think they can do it!

Larry Elder wins on Tuesday

Gov Elder welcomes Orange County’s newest resident, Donald J Trump Sr to California on Wednesday.

Gov Elder appoints Donald J Trump Sr to fill the seat on Thursday.

Heads explode.

Didn’t Chris Christie not appoint a senator after Lautenberg died?

The dirty deal is already set - Gavin Newsom wins - replaces Di FI as Senator - His ex Girlfriend VP Kammy returns as the newly appointed Governor.

The Dems can then go look for someone who can win in 2024.

We don’t want a Republican. We want a Conservative.

Voting Republican hasn’t gotten us anywhere.

If the voters of California keep Democrat Gavin Newsom as Governor...California will die politically & economically as sure as the Sun will rise tomorrow morning. It is as simple as that!!! Voters in California, I can only tell ya all one fact, I know for certain......if you elect Larry Elder as your Governor, the state of California will light up economically and serious crime will diminish greatly!!! For goodness sake..California, people, make California what she once was for so many years, the leading state of this great nation!!! No more scum & vermin Democrats...African-Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, White folks wise up and face reality...vote for Larry Elder for better lives and a great state once more!!!!

I live in New Jersey and I have donated to Larry Elder's campaign, but his statement on this issue is a big mistake.
If Newsom is recalled, Feinstein could resign and be replaced before the election is certified.

But, such high-profile California Senators like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have told us that the recall is just some crazy, right-wing Republican plot. And we all know that neither of them would lie to us, would they???

>If Newsom is recalled, Feinstein could resign and be replaced before the election is certified.

Would the then, temporarily 50-49, have a chance to block that. Sure Murky could vote to accept Newson's pick, but she's running re-election in a hard race and doing so wouldn't help her. Collins would probably vote, IMHO, to block it. Mitt might stick his neck out, but it would NOT go over well in Utah. And I suspect the rest of the RINOs would vote to increase their power by forcing Rats to pay off at least one each vote before Harris can break a tie.

Democrats can also unite and vote YES! There are Nine Democrat candidates running on the “YES” ballot. Must be a reason?

More likely through collusion, Feinswine would resign and Newsome would replace someone during the 30-38 days he would still serve as governor. They fight dirty. They fight.

I hear ya. They do alright.

I still support a bill that blocks top officials from doing
certain things once they are on the way out.

Things like pardons and appointments should be denied them.
