Tucker Carlson sympathized with Americans facing charges for apparently buying bogus COVID-19 vaccination cards during his nightly Fox News show.
The conservative host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” spent part of his program Thursday criticizing the Manhattan district attorney for charging several people with buying and selling fake proof-of-vaccination cards.
“Making, selling and purchasing forged vaccination cards are serious crimes with serious public safety consequences,” Cyrus Vance Jr., New York County’s top prosecutor, announced this week.
“Buying a fake vaccination card is not a, quote, serious crime. It’s not even close to a serious crime,” Mr. Carlson reacted. “Buying a fake vaccination card is an act of desperation by decent, law-abiding Americans who have been forced into a corner by tyrants.
“You know what’s a serious crime? Forcing Americans to take drugs they don’t need or want. That’s a very serious crime. And let’s hope, in the end, someone is punished for it, severely.”
People vaccinated in the U.S. against COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, are issued paper cards bearing the logo of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as proof.

How far will they let him go? They do have their limits.

The cards were being sold for $200, and for an additional fee of $250, the info would be uploaded to the database.
Getting a fake card is pretty stupid and wimpy. These people should stand up for themselves.

There’s no law that mandates it and it’s not approved. It would be like counterfeiting a fake driver’s license.
There is no law requiring it. So why the need to commit a crime by buying a counterfeit document?
Same as carrying an extra ‘get out of jail free’ card from an old monopoly game. Just a piece of paper with no signatures and no meaning.
You’re wrong about that, at least in NY State. You can be charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, paying to be entered in the NYSIIS database, offering a false instrument for filing, and conspiracy.

I never watch FNC any more, but judging by comments I read here, Tucker seems to be on a roll. He has a way with words for sure.
Because fake governors are making fake mandates they improperly refer to as laws requiring cards to enter certain establishments.
I happen to have (a legitimate) COVID-19 vaccination card. It’s simply a black ink on white paper blank with my name, and vaccination type and dates written and stamped on it. It would be extremely easy to copy, and then white-out the name, copy the blank, and then add a different name. The only minor problem is that the paper is slightly heavier than normal copy paper.
It does contain the name of the vaccine provider, and my name is in their data base. I doubt that most reviewers would check that. I’ve got to believe that blank cards are readily available at little cost, if one were to look.
It’s also one of the most useless sizes imaginable. It’s too big to fit in a wallet, and too small to file. I’ll bet that there are tens of thousands of them that are already lost.
It’s interesting, too, that my regular doctor added my name to his system’s data base without requiring proof of the card. I was away from home when I got vaccinated, and the nurse added the information to my profile without requiring presentation of the card.
Tucker, Gutfeld and Levin are a must watch.

On a scale of “1 to Eternal Damnation”, is the sin of faking a vaccination card worse than faking a valid Social Security Number in order to get on an American payroll?
It is our duty to subvert and resist this anti-Constitutional tyranny.
Anyone who approves of this is on the other side of this issue and a party to tyranny. And an enemy of this Republic.
We have many even on this very forum who are all on on this idea of promoting government tyranny. Those statist, nanny-state scumbags would fully approve prosecution of people who do this.
